I lived and worked in London, for Lambeth council, from 1979-1983. These guys were at the height of their popularity. Brinsley Forde starred in Babylon, fantastic movie (1980). Great times to be young!

Let’s be serious there’s no real aswad left I’m near 60 years old and just like musical youth it’s one old man trying to revive the vibe but the vibe dun dead off decades ago…let’s be real it’s more for the pay day than anything else and some fans might still have happy memories of the performance as long as they remembered to put freshly charged batteries in their hearing aids and also to not put to much pressure on their zimmer frame…as much as I might sound like a hater I’m not because it not really my business what anyone does it’s there thing when it all comes down to it..but I just like airing my opinions on the comments section and again as cringe worthy as these dudes might be I don’t think any off them are as cringe worthy as Ali Campbell from ub40 he really thinks the sun shines out of his fake arse backside the ego and arrogance of that dude thinking that he’s the saviour of reggae music..on a positive note big up ram jam rodigan he gets my respect because he’s himself and seems grounded overall even though he got a sir title from the crown…that’s it I’ve said what I had to say.

WOW, they say the truth is a thing scare,& man you are calling them out.Aswad lost its vibes when Brinsley Forde left the band,& from that day forth Aswad has never been the same.THEY should have called it a day then, but now drummie Zeb has passed, they should definitely call it a day .Aswad without Brinsley & drummie Zeb & Aswad horn section doesn't work....

@@davidpemberton4144 hi hello, I said they are more than likely just looking for a pay day….just like Janet Kay she’s sang the life out of the silly games song…and thats from 1977 but she always puts her name down with any promotions/agency in the festival world and goes for it you cannot fault her because most people are looking to survive…think about oasis brothers they are set to generate around 500-600 million for their uk tour dates next year but how much of that is because of the real love of their fan, I’m sure they have a little percentage of loyalty to them I would guess more Noel than Liam but overall money will always be the main driver…I know most folks know this already but I just like to reiterate certain common truths…us humans are so gullible thinking that we are treasured by the artist yes to some extent as long as we give them our hard earned money..think about all the oasis fans in the past 15 years that have passed and would of loved the opportunity to of seen them live in that 15 years that they split up ..what do you think the chances were that Liam was in his mansion crying over how much his fans wanted a reunion but no because I don’t know him but it seems is ego is bigger than any love he could muster for the importance of them..even now with cost of living crisis some every day folks will struggle to get the £100 or so finances to pay for the gig probably even go without just to increase the brother’s bank accounts by 6 zeros and up..I said enough but it’s all real talk to real in some cases..

I'm 64 & been a fan since the mid 80s... saw them perform this set 2 weeks ago in Sheffield & 3 weeks ago in London... these videos taken on mobile phones don't do them justice... they sound fantastic live & put on an amazing show!! I agree they are not the same...Brinsley left nearly 30 years ago & sadly Drummie passed away... but listen to their live album..recently released! They are still brilliant & have a massive following...their Facebook fan club page is growing by the day! Don't write them off yet!! Bigger & better things to come!!!!
