I just saw this! What an incredible artist. I'd love to know how long these complex paintings take to complete. BTW-I've been painting in casein for 5 years now. Richeson manufactures casein in Wisconsin, and the quality is quite good, so hopefully Mr. McLean has been able to have quality paint to work with.

Thank you. As a child like known about Owen Gromme painted these birds, when there were plenty of them around in Wisconsin. Owen did paintings but think most were bought , His collection of Wisconsin Birds is in his book. Tory Peterson and OWEN Gromme went with Robert Bateman on some of Batemans Travels. Unlike Tory Peterson ID books of birds, OWEN put the ones seen In Wisconsin together to be seen in size differences. Owen would catch me skipping school, and sketch the wild animals and bird, at the Milwaukee Museum where he did a lot of the art work in the display. THANKS again

Very informative video created on behalf of the museum! My main thought to share here is the person who is voicing the main video intro & outro (before / after the interview starts) sounds extremely flat & has what's called "vocal fry." I encourage you to look deeper into this & explore if she should really be voicing everything -- or if she just needs to be trained to sound better :) Ask others what they think! Just my 2 cents & a suggestion to make your videos better! ✌🤍

You're right! We wish circumstances had allowed us to move the location of the piece to show it off in its full glory. It's a magnificent work!

Ron Kingswood's painting is one of my VERY favorite works at the National Museum of Wildlife Art! I love its scale and the way it walks the edge between realism and abstraction.

Was nice to see an exhibition of his art a few years ago in Tucson, AZ. Amazing work. And an early influence on my wildlife painting of years ago. He and Bateman were my favorite wildlife artists, yet they had very different styles!
