Great comparison between Panama and Costarica, thanks. I agree with your conclusion. Panama is so much better.

How can you provide a utility-bill (electricity, water, telecom) when not being "in person" in Panama? What when you are still living in, let's say.... Turkey, and want to open a bank account remotely because of migrating to panama in a few months? You actually have no residential adress in Panama....and no bill.... 🤔🤔🤔 So.... In my opinion, you have no chance to get it done remotely....

@@the_expat_whisperer_pty Is anyone concerned about the Chinese influence in Panama? Does anyone think the Chinese could be a future negative influence in Panama 🇵🇦?

@@bobbydelray4945 Not really -Panama has had a significant Chinese presence since the construction of the first canal. Many of the small supermarkets across the country are owned by families of Chinese descent. After several generations, though, a lot of them have integrated deeply into Panamanian culture and society, so it’s fair to say that many are just as Latino as they are Chinese at this point - I guess that’s one of the main reasons, it is being influenced A LOT for years and they celebrated the Chinese new year for a very long time here already too

@the_expat_whisperer_pty Yes, the "Chino street markets" are good for all with aggressive prices for fruits/vegetables. My concern is the CCP BIG $$$ influence

@@yahyapandor4096 I own a property for a couple of years now, so how do you explain that its value has gone up? Sure, in some areas, prices might not be rising, but that’s definitely not the case in many prime locations around the city. And where exactly am I saying what you're claiming here? I’m mainly talking about GDP. Here’s a quick breakdown of what it means: GDP, or Gross Domestic Product, is like the economic MVP. It represents the total value of all goods and services produced within a country’s borders over a specific period-usually a year or a quarter. Think of it as the ultimate scorecard for a country’s economic health and activity. There are three main ways to calculate GDP: 1. **Production Approach**: This method adds up the value of all goods and services produced. 2. **Income Approach**: This method sums up all the incomes earned in producing goods and services, like wages, profits, and rents. 3. **Expenditure Approach**: This method totals all the money spent by consumers, businesses, and the government. GDP is a measure of an economy’s size and growth rate. When GDP is growing rapidly, it generally signals a healthy economy, while a decline can indicate a recession. However, it’s important to remember that GDP doesn't always reflect how well people are actually doing-it’s more about "what’s being produced" than "how the people are faring."
