You can put adhesive backed foam tape where the pump handle closes to quiet pumping them up on Crossman air rifles.

I finally got a rail too. Maybe been two years. BIG difference, the scope rings along with the rail is exactly like a lego block. The way it snaps in. A pic rail is a must for the 10/22.

I wanted one of those so bad when I was a kid, and by the time I could afford one they'd gone from the wood stocks to plastic and they were junk, this was decades ago so they've been cutting corners for ages. I don't think they did that out of greed, they were just trying to survive. But I never got my Crosman air rifle.

Late to the party here, but so glad that I found this video! While it’s true that quite a few budget break-barrels these days are pretty sub-par, the Ruger performs very well- but ONLY if you mount it with a good scope. In my case, a buddy of mine brought his MTC Copperhead over one day and we dialed it in on my Max Elite. After 40+ rounds, we determined that the groupings could consistently bag squirrel or rabbit at 30 yards (that was our testing distance from blind to feeder). Decent little gun for the price!

👍👍😎✌️🤟 American labor costs too much, shut those factories down and send the jobs to Mexico and China. Americans will buy the shit we put in Wal-Mart. I went thru this in the American made auto parts industry, everything we lost went to Mexico and China.How do you compete with that shit. Good luck, our industry didn’t turn out so well maybe yours will.

I last bought a rifled 760 about 30 years ago to replace one that I bought about 1967. The first one lasted many tens of thousands of shots, and lasted about ten years. The second one is a tack driver with any decent pellets. Crossman USED to make great airguns, as good as any other maker. Then they fixed it. I can't tell you how many great companies went bad after they went public and the money managers take over the companies. We give our money to the money managers and say, "Make me rich ASAP", and they immediately reduce expenses to improve today's bottom line. Quality suffers, employee compensation is reduced, eventually a former strong business files for protection.

For ages now all the Crosman products in Europe / EU have been made in China. I have a Crosman Copperhead springer, which is a Chinesium copy of the old Gamo Hunter 440. The shop gave it to me for cost as Spares and Repair as the first time it had been tested it has failed. The insides were like a factory floor, with metal shavings and cutting compounds in the comp tube and barrel and the main seal was shredded. The spring was completely unfinished and snagging to. For a fun project I rebuilt it and turned it in to a nice little shooter, did my best to turn a pig's ear in to a silk purse, but for what I spent on it fixing everything, sorting the trigger etc, I could have just bought a Weihrauch already. Very sad.

I was recently given a powerline 901 in rough condition, but after cleaning it seems to function perfectly. It’s missing the rear sight-notch piece, attachment screw, and the elevator-riser piece, however. I can’t find a replacement labeled for the 901, but I have found these replacement parts for the 880. Am I safe to assume that the rear sight piece for the 880 is the same part as for the 901? That’s all I need for it to be complete.
@ohshoot4443 күн бұрын
It should be the same. Give Daisy a call. They’re pretty good about stuff like that.
@markb19113 күн бұрын

I've always been a fan of Crosman. Always thought they had more to offer for the dollar than Daisy and Gamo. And the fact Crosman is headquartered in my home state, New York, is a point of pride. I had a Crosman .177 caliber air pistol; the Model 1377 and it was an excellent airgun; very accurate well made piece. My daughter has a Model 760 air rifle which she learned how to shoot with. I have a 'Vigilante' CO2 .177 caliber revolver (the updated version of the old 357 revolver) although it has more plastic parts on it than the previous '357' version is still a fun reasonably priced accurate airgun. Will be a real shame if Crosman has to move out of New York State.

Hay Travis! I was looking at picking up a budget scope for a Gamo Break barrel. LOL Discovery Optic has a NEW MS scope in 3-12x42 AO illuminated for about the same price you mentioned. The one you testing and reviewed is heavily discounted. I hope your contact at discovery Optic send you one of those. I may give it a try since it is AO.

I liked the Remington 66. Back in the day. Was a great gun. Over 650 fps would trust it for wilderness hiking. Plenty of power and accuracy. The older Crosman 760s were way better than newer 760s. Easier to pump short plastic hand grips on older 760 s pumping handle made pumping easier
