I can relate very much to your words about families. I am the eldest of 4 children growing up in a dysfunctional family. Early on in my life I earned the reputation of being a difficult person who made my mother cry often. My difficulties stemmed from undiagnosed ADHD, depression, being very introverted and related issues. I believe that my parents loved or thought they did despite there being little to no manifestation of that love, only criticism. I was dx'ed with thyroid disease (autoimmune) in my 40's and with ADHD at age 70! That diagnosis helped me understand that everything was not my fault. My parents are both deceased now and I do occasionally get together with my siblings although we are scattered all over. I enjoy being with them briefly but I never have a sense of belonging or being understood. I all also am an HSP and that doesn't always help as I feel their rejection more keenly than others would. Thank you so much for sharing yourself through your vlog. It helps those of us who share similar experiences feel less alone. Tapadh Leigh and Nollaig Chridheil! 💖🎄☃️

I haven’t done this holiday for years and am glad! And as for being alone and lonely at this season, ive been feeling like that and its not the holiday but the season itself. Dark and wet, cold… But…. I try to do the best i can , but I come more alive once January starts to dissipate ….

As we grow and live in a sometimes unfair world, we realize that we have the power and insight to find joy and peace within ourselves and with those who truly love and appreciate us.
