You’re supposed to do that on a cold engine, and when I did one just recently, I had the front end jacked way up high. I have alawn tractor / ATV lift, that you can raise one end of the tractor or ATV with….pretty slick. I don’t think any oil came out at all, but if any did, it was only a drop or two. At the very least, put a little drip pan under the valve cover. Anyway, besides letting the engine oil drain back into the engine from the valve cover, it also makes the front of the engine at a more convenient work height. I would also suggest taking the hood off. It takes like 20 or 40 seconds to pull the hood, and then it makes it easier to access everything at the front of the engine. It would also show better for your video.

Hey brother, what was the part number to the hose that you initially replaced before you peeled the plastic of the metal line? I've got to replace that hose too as the plastic connection since it is brittle.

Good video 😎 I was gonna say just grab a metal pressure barb connector cut and crimp both together but that works also

Thanks ! The old and brittle clip broke, but I have some on order. Hopefully, this fix works for me. My plan B is to replace the plastic line with 5/16 fuel injection hose and use fuel injection type hose clamps.
