Nice music, but I'm actually interested in the base-12 calculator app you developed. I want to download and test it. How can I do this?

Sadly that's discontinued... how did you hear about it? :O

@@StevenJacks I'm writing a book about base-12, I've been using a calculator app that I downloaded years ago, and it works well, but has also been discontinued. I want to recommend a good base-12 calculator to my readers. I'm not impressed by anything currently available. My partner is constantly looking to make "base-12 connections" with people, and your name popped up...not sure from where exactly. There is a geometric pattern that can only be seen clearly on the base-12 Cartesian plane that gives access to a geometry of the circle that no one knows about. There is an easy way to calculate Pi, and the answer has different characteristics than what we think we know. I wrote the book to make this information accessible. It's a big deal, especially for physics, but right now most people are sceptical, and justifiably so. Hence the book. I want to make it as easy for people as possible to engage with base-12. Hence the calculator inquiry. Perhaps I need to make it myself.

That's not a superlydian scale. Superlydian is the inverse of superlocrian. It's the same intervals backwards. When you take a Locrian scale, there's one note that you can still flatten: the fourth. Then you have superlocrian. When you take a Lydian scale, there's one note that you can still sharpen: the fifth. Lydian #5 is superlydian.

I didn't quite understand your process for making the matrix. Do you have a different guide somewhere explaining what relationships to choose when you're filling it in? It made so little sense to me and I haven't been able to replicate the process in a matrix of my own.

Perhaps part of the problem is people teaching this stuff weren't actually taught well so aren't teaching what they don't understand. IDK. 🤷♀️ Good video. 😉

Forcing the 12. 12 zodiac. 12 segments on a clock. 12 apostles, 12 kights of round table, 12 in a dozen, 12 inches to a foot, a gross is 12 doz, 12 pairs of ribs in a body... The 2/3 ratio is .666. Octave means 8 and 8 has a lot of esoteric meaning as well. The notes C D E F G A B are 7 the esoteric number (begin on C and end on B... C is third and b is second the 2/3 gives .666), and I don't see why they didn't keep the 1:2 ratio. See it is a play on the magic numbers? Maybe. Why is A above middle C tuned to 440 when so many people prefer 432? Some say these frequencies and numbers are playing with our mind, our reality. For better or worse. It gets deeper than that.

Its a good video, what would be the names of the chords. E.g. would i be correct if i name them like this ? i = Cminor 1 ii = Ddiminished 2 etc Or how do you call them ?
@StevenJacks8 ай бұрын
Yeah, exactly right. BUT you'd have to stress that you're in a quartal context. By default, everything is in tertian contexts. So when communicating (labeling?), make sure your audience is aware that you're in that quartal context and NOT in tertian. Pro tip: on mac you can get the ˚ diminished symbol by doing option+k. On PC, you can use Alt + 0176, but I don't remember that, so I usually just search Google for the Degree Symbol, and copy paste.
