It's really hard to say. The listed shipping date is Apr-June 2024 but obviously that didn't happen and it's very common for Mezco figures to be delayed. It's not even shown as shipping soon. I have some Dick Tracy figures scheduled to be released Feb-Apr 2024 and they still haven't shipped. I'm ok with the delays because I'd rather they get the figure right than ship it prematurely but I think it's rare for Mezco to hit their expected release date on the one:12 figures.

I was really amazed at some of the positive responses and they more than offset any negativity. I do still plan to cut back but only to keep my channel more focused. I plan to stop any comic book, video game or sports card videos and focus almost exclusively on figures. This will cut down on my content because at this point I'm only getting 1 or 2 figures a month because of space issues but I can turn a single figure into multiple videos as I did with the Sky X Black Getter where I did 4 videos. I can also do more comparisons or revisit figures that I've already done videos on as I learn more about the hobby.

That's awesome that they released a video but I kinda didn't see it. Second, I tell my kids, 'don't say literally unless it could possibly be figuratively' and I don't think Mezco could figuratively release a video. I was not happy yesterday but I've gotten some really nice feedback and I am already preparing some more stuff. I need to finish rewatching The Batman to write down my thoughts and I'm already preparing myself for some unhappy viewers. Great film but I confess to like it less with each viewing. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by sizing and proportions but I did get in a disagreement with someone over whether the Batman Ascending Knight had a different body than Supreme Knight. He was convinced that the Ascending Knight had a leaned physique than the Supreme Knight. I've held the two next to each other and I'm convinced they are the same, which means that Mezco does try to reuse bodies and I totally get that for cutting cost. This may lead to some figures having bodies that are close enough rather than perfect. I believe every figure maker does this. Obviously in the comics Frank Miller's The Dark Knight is far thicker in build than Batman Year One.

Thank you. I think that figure collecting should be nothing but fun and I find the snobbishness of a minority very bizarre and unpleasant. I'd also say that I have some mild OCD and I simply can't imagine taking a hairdryer to my figure or (gasp) applying paint. I have the Mezco Darkseid figure but knocked it over a few years back giving it a tiny scuff on the head and now all I think of is that damage when I see the figure. These are just my own issues and I respect people who modify their figures, it's just not my thing. I really appreciated the nice responses I initially got on my video but they got progressively nastier until it was suggested I not buy Mezco figures. Nice way to promote the figure. It's people like you that inspire me to continue but I do think I need a break and I do have my second channel that I can focus on. You are 100% correct. There are certain people who like to become the arbiters or gatekeepers of a hobby and they are cancerous. Figure collecting is like a child's hobby all grown up but occasionally the collectors themselves don't grow up. Or, dare I say, maybe they are somewhere on the spectrum. I've seen reviewers crank their Mezco figures or remove their unremovable clothing to the point where I practically get cold sweats but those are their figures to do with as they choose. If I want to treat my figures as gentle as a lamb I just would hope people would respect my choice. I think I will not delay my Sky X video and I also had planned on doing a best mid year figure award but I will probably also be less likely to put out out other kinds of content. Thank you for the supportive words.

Mezco years ago literally posted an article on how to remove the peg from the bases for people confused on it even can watch other videos on collectors who have reviewed mezco figures. You use the bottom peg of that said "bracer" which i honestly never heard anyone call it that especially peoplw who collect Hot Toy when they have stand with arm that hold their figures. Its really simple just force pops it off akso the screws can be tightened on the armature to adjust the tightness if the arm stand. As for mezco figures being "top heavy" thats typically any figure though and you gotta remember mezco is 90% fabric so sometimes the boots are a bit too tight on the fabric if the figure since mezco glues the boots to the pants.

@davidswan5295
@davidswan5295 21 күн бұрын
I'm right there with you on practical effects however I just don't know what practical effects could be up to the task of creating a completely believable Godzilla. Much of my view was colored by my expectations and they were too high but mind you, it was a great Godzilla film and a breath of fresh air compared to the cartoon Godzilla in the legendary movies. If I say it was in my top 3 to 5 that means it's ahead of a WHOLE lot of films. Perhaps what I wanted was that memorable moment or that emotional stir. I know it's not a highly regarded Godzilla film but I found the storyline of Dr Mafune and his daughter very compelling in Terror of Mechagodzilla and the first meeting of Godzilla and Titanosaurous was brilliant. Titanosaurous was on a rampage and we saw the sun slowly setting and from the darkness came Godzilla to finally stop the unstoppable monster. The music was perfect and even the way the camera panned around. I think of the suicide of Dr Serizawa in the original or the death of Godzilla in Godzilla vs Destroyah and even some of the more emotional moments in Biollante. It felt like Godzilla Minus One had all the pieces of an emotional film but I never really felt moved. Even the 'death' of Noriko was so out of nowhere and almost comical in it's execution that I didn't really feel anything. I think the most emotional moment was probably when Akiko cried for her dead mother but even then it somehow missed the mark for me. These are just my opinions and hopefully Toho will continue to make Godzilla films that are far more grounded in reality than what Legendary is putting out. I still haven't seen Godzilla x Kong and the more clips I see the less I care.

Even a basic collector should search this information right here ☝🏻I've been collecting since early 2010's and learned a lot. I honestly am dumbfounded how this guy is confused how to pop the peg from the base when there are literally TONS of Mezco reviews out there that have shown this process even in the early 2010's Mezco literally put an article they shared on Facebook to their site showing how to pop the peg from the base. So there's no excuse for how he doesn't know it. Also I've never heard any collect call the armature attachment of a base a "bracer" that's so weird. Not bashing the guy but seriously this video seems very baity and disingenuous and seems more like those fake videos of someone pretending to be dumb to rage people.

I was just as invested in the characters of the 2014 Legendary Godzilla. But after that movie, it's like human characters were an afterthought in 2019 and first Godzilla vs Kong. But this new Godzilla X Kong was absolutely garbage. I did not give a crap about any of the human characters, at all. Minus One was great for me, not perfect, but close enough.
@davidswan5295
@davidswan5295 23 күн бұрын
I think my mistake with Minus One was hearing all the praise and expecting perfection. It's a great Godzilla movie but as you said, not perfect. I've said this so many times. You need to focus on the human characters in a Godzilla movie. The only monsterverse film with any human characters that I cared about was Skull Island, which did quite well despite not having Godzilla in it. I think at this point Legendary is just trying to make enough money to keep the franchise going and I think they feel audiences just want to see Kaiju duking it out.

@davidswan5295 I picked up the CCSToys Legann and not impressed. Konami was ahead of their time I am VERY impressed the paint is premium and use of diecast.....perfection. Super7's Destroyah is a BEAST excuse the pun in a good way outside of that Pass! I also collect X-Plus 30cm & Gigantic. Recently picked up Dragon Studio 30cm 2000 Godzilla it's licensed and incredible.....magnetic tail....GENIUS!

I was not even aware that Konami ever made high end figures. I did some research and that figure appeared to be their first high end figure and seemed well received. I take it Konami quit because I've never seen one. I do like the idea of a magnetic Godzilla tail. I'm kind of entrenched in monsterarts and was avoiding starting a new line but I am getting the first Godzilla from Mezco.

I'm old enough that this is also the mechagodzilla that I grew up with. In fact, it took me a long time to come to grips with the fact that in TOHO films, mechagodzilla was more often than not the hero. I finally today preordered this figure from Kappa Hobby, It's a new site for me but I did some research and it appears to be trustworthy. It's sold out on BBTS.

Hi there , do you have the king arts version of grendizer. I got it the other day and I was so disappointed of how un posable the figure is. It's so bulky and those blastic clips that hide the robotic version come off really easily. I was wondering if you had the same experience.
@davidswan5295
@davidswan5295 Ай бұрын
I own four King Arts figures but I don't have Grendizer. I've never had an issue with the plating on any of the other figures but I can't speak for Grendizer. Most of these larger figures tend to be not so great on posing and I always pose them in a neutral stance.

I can confirm that all the M3 Studio ANKOKU DAISHOGUN issued so far are damaged in some way or other. Some much more damaged than others. There are plenty of photos to prove this.

I'm not surprised. It was packed very securely and I can't say it was damaged out of the box but it is extremely prone to damage and I did nothing to cause the light up features to stop working. It certainly didn't inspire me to buy another M# Studio figure. Thanks for the info.

Supposedly it's an excellent anime but I really don't like the colors, head and gorilla arms. Sometime I'll have to go through which of my figures have the ugliest design but I have to confess that Mazinkaiser would be near the top.

Is M3 Studio a Japanese company?
@davidswan5295
@davidswan5295 2 ай бұрын
It's really hard to do research when you call your company M3 Studio because a search is going to bring up all sorts of other things. The box is covered in Asian characters but I don't know if it's Japanese or Chinese. Hong Kong also produces a lot of figures but I'd bet it's Japanese. The figure is definitely not a complete train wreck. It looks amazing on my shelf and it only has a few hard to find scuffs. It's just that I really expect more for the price. One inexplicable decision was where the chain would attach to the belt. They could have used a simply hook and it would have worked perfectly but the way they handled it the chain can easily come loose. It's bizarre decisions like that that make me wonder what the hell they were thinking.
