Does driving them on non snow covered surfaces mess up the track or skis?

It could if you went for a mile or two. There are carbide runners on the skis that help you steer. Those get worn down on asphalt and concrete. There are also plastic sliders, aka hyfax, that the track runs along. Those require snow to keep them lubricated. The biggest concern is overheating. The engine is liquid cooled and requires snow hitting the “radiator” to keep the engine cool.

I got a 2007 suzuki king quad with a plow attachment it works good with 2 or 3 foor of snow but u get more like 4 to 4 and a half and it starts no not be so happy

Works only with a 4x4 Quad. This is a good setup-Winter utility, Summer fun.

Nah you can do it with rwd provided you have chains and add weight as needed. Many professional plows are 2wd

I just plowed roughly 5" a couple weeks ago with my 2004 sportsman 500ho for the 1st time. It was fun, but it's crazy how much it pulls the front end down when lifting the plow.....I kept forgetting to lift the plow when I'd go to backup

That's the awesome thing about ATV's, the versatility. The plow is a bolt on accessory, he could even buy a canvas cabin cover with plastic windows, to be out of the elements. Also, chains or studs can be installed for better traction.

Where can I find this access road for hiking? Is the mine open to the public?

The mines are privately owned but the owner is very nice. He has a camp at mine #2. You can see him and the camp as we pull up. I’m not sure where this access road meets the main road as we came from Waterford ME on the sleds.
