I wouldn’t say SNES F-Zero is overrated at all, though its content level has not aged well. It was a fantastic racing game that showed the world what the Super Nintendo could do. It’s amazing that Super Mario Kart runs on the same engine and yet lacks that incredible sense of speed. Without it, we wouldn’t have the rest of the series. There isn’t a bad game in this franchise

@Brawler_1337 I do agree with all your points, however, we are comparing F-Zero and F-Zero and I wanted to use that meme so I chose the og. I honestly prefer MV over it but I can't deny what path it paved for the series and it's the one with the most sales(I very much suspect more people have played FZ99 at this point though)

Are you trying to get through without falling the whole time while glitching the game to go faster? Are you trying to keep a constant speed? Can you do this in the normal game or are you using a rom hack assist?

@Aaron_Gallego91 1. The goal is to get Sub 2 with the machine 2. In order to achieve Sub 2, you pretty much need to average over 2k speed each lap 3. You can do this in Vanilla GX but in this case it's a mod that adds new vehicles, changes different values like weight and speed etc etc. The technique used to achieve high speed is called shift boost.

I legit lol’d when you flew into the overhead platform in Port Town and when you skipped a huge section of Mute City. This looks so much fun! Kinda wish it was an unlockable mode in the base game.

That’s fine I guess, I just don’t see the logic of abuse of a comeback being so powerful that you can make an entire strategy around it and win with it inside of a racing game. Racing games are made for going fast, memorizing the lay out of the track, and mastering the physics of your car, not hoping the other 11 cars don’t get red shells all at the same time and flatten you with them all. But I guess there’s some sort of perspective I don’t understand.

If only GP wasn't so slow at top speed. Most of the advantage you get from the tunnel sb is lost during the second half of lap 1. Good run
