March and April are probably the best months for Surf Fishing at NSB. Also that is the best time of year to catch the Trophy Blacktip Sharks! Thanks for Watching!!

I’m thinking about getting this reel for alligator gar fishing they can easily pull like 40lb of drag for like 50 yards straight so need something tough and durable

I thought with the good conditions and all the sand fleas she was able to catch, she would have done a lot better. We were lucky to get this trip in before the storm but you have been doing very good at the river! Especially with the big bluefish and flounder!

My wife and I fished Apollo Beach about a week and a half ago. We pulled quite a few to shore, but everything was small save one whiting. We're hoping to try again sometime around the next full moon, July 21st. As always, enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.

The hurricane season has been quite so far but they predicted a record year. So August and September could be tough months to get to the beach but maybe we get lucky?

I think both Tarpon may have been in the 100lb range? Which might explain why they never started jumping, both fish were only 25 yards out when they picked up the baits!

Yes we hooked one with our 8’ Shimano Teramar and BG 5000 that I fought for 45 minutes! The hook popped out when I grabbed the leader right at the edge of the surf and we got the video on our channel.

We used to bring some fish home but haven’t done that in over 7-8 years. We usually fish over 7 hours and are to tired to clean and cook any fish. We also pack very lightly with just one small cooler, you have a good day as well and thanks again for Watching!!

I have not found any sand fleas on the drive on yet,lots of coquina, very little hits on sandfleas, my friend had 2 large bonnetheads with shrimp before the wind

The reel is fine but a 6ft Tarpon from the beach is asking to much of the BG 5000! I have our Quantum Cabo 80 set up for the 8ft Teramar and will be using it this summer, Thanks for Watching!!

I would just get the BG 8000 because it is only 1/2 ounce heavier than the BG 6500 but has the larger spool. They are the exact same reels so getting the larger spool on the BG 8000 for only 1/2 ounce is the way to go. We have a video on our channel where we actually got a big beach tarpon on our 2nd BG 8000. I used the reel to wear that fish down and it easily handled the big Tarpon!

We used to bring fish home to eat but that was a long time ago. We pack very light and our surf trips our usually 7-8 hours long and sometimes longer. We are to tired to mess with cleaning and cooking fish! Thanks for Watching!!

They are supposed to be very good to eat and many people do eat them. We would never do that and we make sure to get the hook out and release every shark and stingray we catch.
