Love the TTC employees who work on equipment to keep transit running. They should never face harassment. Shame on anyone who does not appreciate them

Oh my god. Coming out of the tunnel from Churchill and seeing all the homeless in "tent city" Wow. I miss the graffiti. I think every Edmontonian has seen "In Memory of my mother" back in the day. I would rather see that than the homeless.

Lived in Edmonton my entire life pretty much and used the train daily. Moved away while this was being built. I drive now and have no reason to take the train, so this is nice to see. Thank you! I now also understand how there are so many accidents with the train.

The Yellowhead is mostly a 2 Lane Road, at 50kmh these Days. I'm pretty sure the Closures are to provide Lane for Bike Lanes, as that is pretty much the ONLY thing the City is spending ANY Money on these Days. There are Pot Holes big enough to fill with Cars, In the Winter, the Roads in and out of the River Valley are Ignored, cause the Effin Bike Lanes have to cleared to Dry Pavement, and kept like that, even in Blizzards, before Real Trafffic is looked after
@chrisvazquez7
@chrisvazquez7 Ай бұрын
@@pjimmbojimmbo1990 it’s 50 km/h and down to 2 lanes due to construction. They’re not adding bike lanes to the Yellowhead, they’re making it a full freeway. And they’re fixing the potholes too! The bike lanes get about 1% of the city’s capital budget. Not nearly as much as people think. It’s good to have all sorts of infrastructure in a big city like Edmonton.

The third track is for the train to get ready. Or it's going for a nap. My dad said the third track is for the train. And then the train mechanic can like you. Maybe turn off or fix ithen at 4 AM. You might see the seeds train going out of the third track and then oh my god to the station where you need to go

Nice ride and nice system. It does seem as though much of the TOD is concentrated to the south of the city center. I guess other than city center that's the area that has a good deal of walkability

I can not understand why Edmonton buildts on the serface. In a climate where winter is longer then summer it makes more sense to go underground. I wonder if the designers/city council did any long term cost analysis comparing the cost over 50 years or longer. It has to cost a lot more for maintence given our extreme weather conditions compared to consistent temperatures underground. By going underground the constant hassle with other transport modes.
