Glad I found your page. Going through all this myself at the moment on my RHD 1602. Can you confirm what gearbox you went with? I have a gearbox from an e30 318i I’m looking to run and was interested in your linkage setup as would save me some work if the dimensions are the same. You stated 9” off the gearshift base plate but wasn’t sure what dimensions you reduced your shifter rod too. Great work btw I can first appreciate what you’ve been through 😂
@d_rock_t
@d_rock_t 11 ай бұрын
Thanks. Yes e30 318i transmission. I unfortunately can't remember the dimensions or specifics. I believe I just made the shifter rod whatever length it needed to be for the shifter to be upright once I shortened up the plate. There is also some info and pictures on classicdaily.net website.

Sounds great! Your videos are giving me some good ideas on my swap. Did your electrical harness have an intake air temp sensor? If so….Where did you end up putting that that on the car? I just did the Speedhut speedbox. It lags a little at first but works fine. I installed in on the passenger side opposite the wiper motor area under the hood below the windshield.

Great work! I wonder if that Tesla booster has some sort of different baseline program that’s more friendly than the Honda? Maybe I missed it in an earlier video, but what in-tank pump/sender did you use? I am thinking about fuel injecting my M10 and want to avoid adding a swirl pot. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together.

Good work. Bleeding brakes has always been one of my least favorite tasks. I’ve tried vacuum bleeders with not much success. Eventually I got a pressure bleeder (Schwaben brand, but there’s a lot of options), and it’s been a huge improvement. It’s easy enough that I even procrastinate less on brake fluid flushes.

Hey - great series! Thanks for posting it. I installed that same strut brace in the back of my ‘73. I also had to beat it in place. I started with tapping the strut tower, which was ok. The material was thick enough to get about 3 threads. However, I wasn’t satisfied, so I ended up drilling them out and using a through bolt and nylock nut. It was a little fiddly, but I was able to get the nuts installed without removing the shocks.
