you can actually see the second zombie slightly to the right inbetween the trees, not only do you barely hover over him multiple times, you dont see him do his breathing animation for a solid 6 seconds. i could care less about this game, but dont pin it on a bug when you could have taken a second to truly see

Haven't watched the video yet-- wanted to say that i hope that, despite the jank you mention in this description, you still had a good time with the gameplay, characters, world and story alike. I'm a very big fan and hope that the devs will be able to continue and bring a worthwhile eventual conclusion to Soulstice when support, time and resources allow for it. (same with Darksiders). Wish you a lot of fun on future games too, and hope that the likes of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Genokids, No Straight Roads and perhaps even Cookie Cutter and Immortal: And the Death that Follows may come on your radar and be of enjoyment as well.

Huh, the Mauler's actually one of my favourite enemies to fight, upgraded Lute or not. They're one of the enemies that the Tearing Penance isn't strong against, in purpose nor behaviour. Regardless of your annoyance with the Mauler, i still think you did well with it on the first go. There does seem to be a thing with enemies in general when a Freeze counter is made: even when it looks like an enemy has swung, there will be an immediate hitbox once the Freeze is over. At least from what I can remember from my own gameplay and see from your footage. If I may ask, do you have a number of abilities for Lute that have some sort of effect, but increase Entropy? Those are usually defined as Chaos-aligned, denoted by an icon with a border that has eight spikes-- four of which being more angular. Those motherfuppers make Entropy rise up much quicker. It's not as backwards as it first sounds because there's skills that make Lute shoot out crystal mines and energy bolts upon dissipating, and reform quicker. To me it feels like the devs wanted to make some kinds of "builds" where the players that aren't concerned with being stylish or don't want to worry about the Entropy as much, would still be able to deal damage. Regardless, i don't think i'd miss it in a possible sequel. Either way, i'm glad the game allows for full currency refunds from skills. Merciful Blades are fun ones. I like them. The "Hold Button" attack can be used in the air as well, and also in every move of a combo. Nice 'n good for rapid damage on singular targets-- may even be good for breaking down the enemies' defense bar and staggering them. I still hope Soulstice is fun and interesting for you and wish you a lot of fun on the rest.

Big Soulstice fan here, I know the game has rough parts but hope you are still having a lot of fun with the game. To address your wonderings between brackets in your video description: Chimeras are not exempt from the normal forms of afterlife, as far as I know. They *are* unnaturally occuring, only made with a purple crystal that ties two souls into one body, yet only if both souls exhibited a strong bond in life. The crystal, as far as I understand, grants both the Knight and the Shade superhuman powers. One half is physical, the other spiritual. Chimeras are undeniably unique where it concerns walking the treshold of the material, living world and the immaterial spiritual/ethereal existence. But as far as I understand it, when a Chimera or Transcended dies, they simply die. The quote "That which is immortal is bound to be reborn" seems to me more like an esoteric prayer, both as a warning and a proof of faith, than something to be taken very literally. Like... history moves in cycles. Or remnants of the past will return in the future, perhaps with a different shape but carrying the same essence. To be honest, i've not seen many Soulstice fans talk about that quote or the subject of immortality. Aside from the devs, i'd say there's no authority saying how the Immortal/Reborn quote *should* be interpreted I hope this clears it up and that I haven't made things more confusing with a bad explanation. For now, wish you a lot of fun on the rest of your adventures in the ruined, burning, freezing and crumbling Ilden in the land of Keldas.
