superb video! my grandparents used to own a cottage on Grape Island that we would go to in the summers when I was a kid in the 1970's. then I lived on Lake Dalrymple for 5 years in the 2000's and worked in Orillia. now I live in Mexico and I'm hoping to show my Mexican girlfriend this beautiful part of Ontario this summer...

Orillia is a very find town. I spend my holiday in 2013 there. The lake ist very interesting and also the casino rama.

@@mohawksteel2215 My good man of Steel I agree entirely but the problem then becomes where will I pitch it for less than $100 a night!? Maybe newcomers can buy a repurposed cargo van that looks like a lock repair service and park intermittently around the town in the hopes of not being discovered.

I remember my first time heading north for some camping from Toronto. We stopped into Orillia as it was close to our destination and we needed to pick up some camping supplies. It was a beautiful summer day, the sun was shinning and as we passed people they would all say good morning or hello. It was a wonderful culture shock from Toronto where no one sees one another. Beautiful City!

Thanks Marci and Kyla for sharing this review of the market in 2021. And congrats Kyla and Eric! Do you have any advice for someone who has a large enough property to consider severing a lot? The process can take some time and has significant costs associated. Do you think the selling market will stay strong for long enough to justify going through the severance process?

Hey Scott, so great to hear from you!! Our advice would be to sever the lot now however a couple of things to consider a) how much will it cost b) what are vacant lots going for in your area?? If that difference is worth going through the process of getting a survey, doing the paper and legwork then go for it. Real estate prices are going up and raw land is hard to find. Real estate prices will stay strong. Keep us posted!

I went by this same location back in august. I was surprised by how good the pizza was. You're not expecting it to be very good, so it turned out delightful when I was proven wrong.
