Those were funny! I had to cancel our Thanksgiving this year. First year of my life that I am not celebrating and it makes me sad. I fell last week and injured both of my legs. I cannot stand up and cook for hours. I will be spending my Thanksgiving morning at my doctor's office and getting more x-rays. I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving has a great one! Love and hugs from Norway!

Thank you guys for posting this great episode! The holidays are so bittersweet for me ever since my mom lost her battle with cancer.I went from having big extravagant celebrations to how it is now, just me, my husband & our 3 boys. Listening to this episode made me feel like I was sitting at the dinner table with my 5 amazing friends, just having a great time! Sending y'all a bunch of love from Ga 💜 I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

Austin with the whole badminton thing 🤦🏻♀️ How did you NOT know?! Cam I’m Canadian, ham is for Easter and Turkey is for thanksgiving and Christmas!! What kind of comment was that? Aside from that it was a fun episode. Missed Chris, but hope he gets feeling better. #Ham ❤️ from 🇨🇦

I know some women probably get offended by the dishwasher comment, but it's a running joke in our house. The story is: I was doing the dishes and b!tching at my husband for who knows what. He then gets on his phone, dialing a phone number. I'm now mad asking who he is calling. He puts his pointer finger up like give me a minute. Im looking at him like, "Excuse me?" He then says,"Hi, customer service? Yea, my dishwasher is nagging me. I don't remember buying this version. I'd like a refund!" I laughed so hard! I was on the ground, crying, and barely breathing. Life is short, ladies. It's a joke, not a dick. Don't take it so hard.

Haha my man’s the same. Always saying my dishwasher broken today? Or my dishwasher works just fine whenever a friend of ours mentioned their actual one breaking. Lol I remind him how lucky he is I have a great sense of humour 🤣

I do turkey but I don't buy a full turkey anymore. I buy turkey thighs. It's just me and my 2 kids and we don't like the white meat so why buy a huge turkey?

#Ham is a tradition on the Swedish Christmas table. I no longer eat ham but instead something that looks like a ham, and tastes like it (only better) but it's made of turkey breast. Everybody wins!

I've been making my own brine for years and will never do it any other way. I use apple cider, cloves, garlic, and oranges plus a few other herbs and let it brine for 3 days and it is sooooo good! Although, I have heard deep fried turkey is really good too; I've just never had it. Happy Thanksgiving! Oh and I agree, Ham is not a Thanksgiving food! lol

I've seen the fish throwing at Pike Place Market in Seattle. It is wild to watch. Yeeting a turkey is a new one. Cam..just nope with the dishwasher joke LOL. We had a dishwasher in 1970 ... And no not my mom... LOL. When we were old enough that was our job brother included. My grandmother had a huge living room. 12 foot Christmas tree magical with all the lights. We were allowed to go everywhere except the basement. Not safe. Grandpa told us there were monsters in the basement to scare of from trying to go down there. If we mad a move to go toward the door he would make a knocking sound and we'd all run away. He died when I was 4 1/2 missed him so much. OMG the eggnog story makes me laugh. Mom and dad had a Christmas party and they spiked the eggnog. We'd wait until my folks and their friends were sloshed then sneak some. It BURNED. Oh no drunk grandma. My grandma was a tea totaler. Funniest story with my mom. Her best friend and my dad hosted a surprise party for my mom's 50th birthday and got her a stripper. OMG she was embarrassing ... She kept grabbing his butt. She might have had a tad too much to drink ... Like Damn mom you horn dog. Down Girl. The ham story reminds of of The Christmas Story movie where they had to go out for Chinese food that scene always cracks me up... Also the scene from Christmas Vacation when the turkey is dust. LOL. My big bro and big sis told me there was no Santa while walking to school a week or two before Christmas ... Buttheads. I was 7 yrs old. Damn the oven fire one is wild. .. Does getting shoved by your siblings count as force. I payed my little sister back... I stepped on both of her feet and shoved her backwards and stepped off her feet. TIMBER LOL. My dad and his friend got tanked on Wild Turkey. Talk about loopy and dad passed out on the floor and mom was pissed and just left him there all night. I was at a friends house for a sleepover and came home. Mom wasn't talking to dad ... Dad had to help my friends dad push his car out of the driveway (ice storm) while hung over. New Years eve 1980's Good times.

#Ham. Tony, we have turkey for Thanksgiving at most of my families houses but some serve both ham and turkey. We also would have both for Christmas sometimes. Or, one or the other. Either way it was always delicious. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Sending love and hugs 🤗 your way. Stay safe and healthy.

Funerals are not for the dead, they are for the people who need go grieve the loss of not seeing that person anymore. I can see a celebration of life for someone who has lived a long a wonderful life. But people do loose loved ones that are kids, spouses, in wars where their time in your eyes has been cut too short. Also, everyone grieves differently and for different amounts of times.

Our holiday food tradition is NO Tradition!!!! Our best Thanksgiving was individual pizzas created by each person! We laughed so hard, without even having any booze! It was a great celebration! My personal favorite is when the host chooses the main course and everyone brings a dish they would like with that food.
@karinberonius87993 күн бұрын
That is a nice non-traditional food tradition! To me, if I can't have my mum's Jansson's temptation on Christmas, we'll then there is no Christmas!

We do Popeyes Chicken and whatever sides from there, and I might make deviled eggs and we have store-bought pies. My husband's family doesn't like turkey very much (I never made one, but we did buy one from Popeyes one year, and it was amazing, but they liked the chicken better 🙄) or a lot of different side dishes. I haven't had a normal Thanksgiving since I lived at home, lol. Oh well. It's hanging with the peeps that make it special. ❤ Oh! And we have Thanksgiving the day after so it's easier for others. 😂
