You make this much more involved than necessary. When stowing the lift, you can just remove the "C" docking attachment and attach the hook that is at the bottom of the strap to the bottom of the lift and then gently raise the strap until it is tight. That will keep the swing arm from crashing into the back window / hatch / trunk lid of your vehicle. You can safely drive with your scooter / power chair or whatever along with the "C" docking part inside the vehicle and no more taking it apart every time it's not being used to load or unload your assistive device. Many people who need a mobility device can not lift more than 5 to 10 pounds, but are still capable of driving without an assistant to put the lift together every time it's needed.
@MarcsmobilityКүн бұрын
The part of the "C arm" does stay attached to the unit being lifted. The Arm itself would slide into that attachment that stays connected to the mobility unit. When lifting the unit, you would need to connect the C arm to the attachment in order to lift the unit correctly. Once the unit has been unleaded, the "C arm" would stay in the vehicle. The attachment wasn't added to a unit so it couldn't be shown on a unit so that's why Marc was showing how it is used by hand. There is nothing to take apart other than the lift parts being disassembled once the unit has been loaded or unloaded. The lift isn't meant to stay installed in the hitch. If I am misunderstanding you, please correct me.

If there was a power chair like this scooter id be sold on it. Most of the chairs seems to be limited to 5 or less mph and have much shorter ranges especially in this price range and portability
@Marcsmobility4 күн бұрын
Scooters are a bit different so they are able to reach the higher speeds where a power chair is usually limited to like you said the 5mph range.

Hello im interested on manual ,electric wellchair fouldebol. DO YOU GOT LIFTER WITH REMOTE CONTROL. THANK YOU
@Marcsmobility6 күн бұрын
We do not sell any manual wheelchairs, only power chairs and power scooters. Most of our lifts are lifts that are installed ion the vehicles hitch receiver and they have a toggle switch to make the lift go up/down. We have a small lightweight lift that has a corded remote but that is only for smaller units that weight under 100lbs. If you want to talk about what you are wanting, give us a call at 800-677-6293 and we will be more than happy to see what we can do to get you what you need.

Is this the same as pride viva 2 PLR lift chair? I tried it and legs up and it would not move anything. Remote got hot. Unplugged the chair.
@Marcsmobility6 күн бұрын
The PLR-935 is the Tranquil 2. There is not a lift chair with the name of Viva 2. Viva is a line of chairs Pride has and they would all have the PLR and a 3-4 digit number after. If you just purchased the chair from a dealer, I would call that dealer if I were you and let them know and see what can be done if you still have a warranty on the unit. Hope this helps point you in the right direction to get the issue resolved.

They are going to be 2 different models and possibly wont have the same motors or the same attachment points for the motors to attach to the chairs frame.

@Marcsmobility I am thinking of taking this on a cruise. if I fold it on the hallway, would I be able to fit into a standard cabin door?
@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
You shouldn't have to fold it to get it into a cruise doorway. The overall width of the unit is 24 1/2", when folded you are looking at a height of 17 1/2". That would fit through a doorway of a ship. You may want to call the cruise line you are going to be on and get the width of the doorway to your room and see if the chair would fit in by driving it in instead of folding the unit. Hope this answers your question.

@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
No you do not. There are 3 larger pins and 2 smaller pins, the 2 smaller pins are for dealers with a programmer. You just need a 3 prong charger. We do sell chargers as well: marcsmobility.com/wheelchair-accessories/powerchair-scooter-chargers.html

How do you put the foot stand back on
@MarcsmobilityКүн бұрын
If they legs are no longer attached to the chair, you would want to contact a local mobility store to come out and put them back on to make sure they are installed correctly and going to be able to move and work as it should. If its the footplate itself that has came off, you would attach them back with a screw that was on the footplate and screw it in tight.

as a disabled person myself I have researched these chairs fully. What they don't tell you in this video is that the X8 has a very limited range of 10 miles because of its four-wheel-drive capability. This is different to the other two chairs that has a maximal range of 20 miles. if you want to go off road further than 10 miles you might be disappointed with the X8's range.
@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
You are correct, in this video we didn't mention mileage on a single charge. This video was on all 3 of these units and how they handle the terrain. We do have other videos on the X8 that explains the total distance you are able to achieve on a single charge. Depending on the weight of the user and the terrain they are driving on, the X8 will get between 10-15 miles on a single charge.

Red X and says Brake 2, how do you fix that?
@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
Red X would mean its not in a upright seated postion, that X will go to a green circle when its in safe driving position. The brake 2 is most likely you have one of your motors in freewheel.

I have to disagree with you about The Permobil M3 Suspension. Compared to the Quantum Edge 3 that I had, the M3's suspension is terrible. Don't get me wrong, it's a well-built chair and Permobil can teach Quantum a thing or two Lighting and ruggedness. The Quantum was much easier to control (left & Right), after tweaking but the M3 they cannot seem to get it where I would like it and I about to ask my DME Company to set up an appointment with the Permobil Rep. One last thing. I have the Push Handles on my M3. I had them including with the build because I do my shopping and hang the bags on these handles. If my grocery load is too heavy like when I purchase water, I need to be careful taking off or going up Inclines because I pop wheelies. Adjustment have been attempted to no success. I do not want to discourage anyone from purchasing this or any Permobil, I am only expressing the minor problems I have incurred. This is still one of the best chairs made today. By the way, you might want to mention the Radio (Phone) Feature. It's great for Permobil to keep you posted on both your good and bad habits, Plus the Bluetooth Feature on them.

@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
If you are getting the 5 flash error code on the joystick, that means you have a right motor short to a battery connection and would need to get that unit into a local mobility store to have them take a look at the unit and gain a resolution. Hope this points you in the right direction!

Do you have the replacement bronze bushing that goes on the pivot assembly on the swing away?
@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
We do have any small parts for the units, we just sell the lifts. You may be able to reach out to a local mobility store that sells the brand lift you have and see if they would be able to get you that bushing. You can always jump on google and type in "Mobility stores (put in your zip code)" and that will pop up stores in your area, call down the list and see if anyone is able to assist you. Hope this points you in the right direction to finding the part!
@kiddkiddstoy98678 күн бұрын
@Marcsmobility than you, I did some extensive research and found that most mobility retailers have the bronze bushing and want close to $100 for the set! I I measured them with a caliper and bought them for $7.28 each on Amazon.

Can you check how much space there is between the top of the rear wheels and the brackets ? On my new F5 VS, there is no space at all between the tire and the carrier on the 1 rear wheel. Can you record the sound of the brakes when you press and release the stick ? Very loud clicking noise on my new Permobil F5 VS.
@Marcsmobility8 күн бұрын
The loud clicking noise you are hearing is the electromagnetic breaks engaging and disengaging when you use the joystick. That is normal on power chairs. Now when you mentioned that space between the rear wheels and the bracket, the bracket you are referring to, is that the fork on the rear wheel? There should be a little distance in between the top of the caster wheel and the bottom of the fork. If they are touching, I would get a hold of the mobility store that you purchased the unit from and advise the issue with them and see about getting someone to fix it if it is indeed touching. Hope this helps!
