DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM NEXAR. they don't stand behind their products or warranty. They will string you along for weeks and ask for all sorts of videos and pics of the device and how its not working only to keep stringing you along and they never make good on replacement. They are crooks. I'm contacting the better business bureau and going to make a claim in claims court. For the cost of the product and the time they wasted of mine. See ya soon nexar.

Most dash cams don’t have batteries. At most they have little capacitors but won’t record much. You have to have it continuously connected for live view to work.

I prefer Underwood Ranches version MUCH better than the Huy Fong original version. Underwood Ranches has a brighter cleaner taste in my opinion.

Does the trailer come with trailer brakes for a boat that size?

My camera nexar one suddenly it started to power on and off it's been more than a week ago i contact customer service and to be honest they are not helping at all i spoke with 4 different people and none of them could fix the problem. i got tired off just waiting so i told them i just wanted to buy another camera but obviously with a discount because the camera basically was damage. they told me that there's nothing they can do to fix the issue so i told them to cancel the nexar connect subscription that was 4 hours ago, and they still haven't canceled it yet. and like this video was saying the live stream only work 20% of the time definitely this camera has a lot of issues

I wonder if the camera needs to know where the nose is in relation to the eyes. It seems once that straight on relationship is lost, it focuses on a closer object because it thinks the nose is closer? In other videos, once the structure of the face is blocked, then the problems show. So maybe the issue is how the AI is trained and how it defines what a human face is?

Yea it's strange because clearly it knows where the eye is as the focus box stays on it. It just seems the focus area is way larger then the eye box and then changes focus to what's closer to the camera for some strange reason.

Its not that , earlier firmwares 1 2 3 4 5 dont do that, you can cover your other eye fully and it will still keep the eye in focus.

I had the Nexar beam and for the first few months it was good and then they pushed the new app update that was KILLING the iPhone batteries in a matter of 2 hours. The Nexar FB group was full of complaints about this and Nexar denied it for months!!!! They kept saying it was another app causing the battery drain, the iPhone were faulty then it was an iOS update. After about 3 months or so Nexar finally admitted it was their app and a bug that caused the phones to be locked in a high power mode even with the app not in use. Even after their fix people still had issues and that’s when I moved away to a different camera. I just got a new car and need a new dash cam so I was looking at the beam since it’s small form factor and the wireless connectivity, well I’m happy I found this video because it’s pretty apparent Nexar still hasn’t gotten their stuff together. I’ll be looking at other cams.

the same, I would like the previous software - it worked great for me, I trusted it 100%, now this camera is actually useless. The worst thing is that I think about Sony, but the picture in it is very bad vs. Fuji

I am not experiencing this with my XH2S's (two of them) on 5.03. What AF mode are you in in this test, Multi, Wide/Tracking (new) or Area?

I tested in all 3 of the video auto focus modes. It seems it just doesn't keep focus locked on the small eye box ever with the new update if something else is in the same area and is at a different depth.

They need to fix this stuff ASAP. I wonder if this is the same in bird and animal? I have XH2S and firmware 6 and didn’t notice this issue when shooting wildlife. The AI tracking is clearly not giving feedback to the AF system.

Usually when I shoot birds I'm using the 150-600 so at f 5.6 u probably won't notice as much if it focuses a few inches shorter or deeper. It just really shows when u do eye tracking and a low f stop.

@@WillieWalnuts I agree it would be less noticeable in wildlife unless you had foreground and it snapped to that. I haven’t noticed that. But regardless, if the tracking is telling you one thing and the AF system is trying to focus on something else than they aren’t working correctly together. The tracking should tell the AF system what focus points are important. It clearly is not doing that. Seems highly broken.

If you are in wide tracking mode. Eye autofocus will not work the way you want. That mode only meant to be for touch tracking

So why can't you touch track your eye once it locates it? Isn't that the whole point? To lock of and track something? Eye, bird, object etc ?

Recently I was taking photos with my xh2s and when I was looking at the photos afterwards the camera said: 1- detected face (but it focused on something else) 2- whatever the camera showed was in focus wasn't Tripod and stationary subject. Unacceptable.

@@Tech_Stuff_and_Other_Stuff i have the fringer ii adapter with sigma 18 35 and tokina 11 - 20 and it was working fine before the firmware, now it's totally unusable, once you moved, or you want to focus on something else, it start to hunt like crazy, non stop...

I'm currently using the ring dash came. It's cheaper monthly although the connectivity doesn't work well either at least it's not as expensive.

The old huy fong was sweeter then it is now so for you to point that out is awesome I’ve been waiting for some to point that out . under wood has that little hint of sweetness and that was definitely from the type of peppers they use which can’t be duplicate easily .
