@@Raging_Raven_Music Okay, so the persona I made for this one was specifically made with the intent to be able to be soft and do a death growl as the norm because it is nearly impossible to get female vocals to do a death growl so… I used a combination of meta tags, recreating, and section replacements for the original song for the persona and I think the persona sometimes thinks the different tones are two separate characters. And I think sometimes if I put sections in all caps it will treat them as special. That is my hypothesis. @ I leave my meta tags intact in my Suno pages. I don’t use them too often but if you see a strange case, maybe I used meta tags you might try. But really I don’t think I can say I know what I’m doing, most of my approach is replacing sections, clicking create, listening and put it together through sheer bullheadedness, waiting for it to sound right. Worst case scenario, a part of the replaced section is what I want and I wind up patching around it. I’d say the worst culprit of that is Beast Unleashed where I couldn’t ever quite get this transition right and I am pretty sure I spent ten dollars worth of credits and still wound up with a clear spot where I didn’t smooth out where the section was added in

@@thelonelyking9904 Yeah, I find it scary sometimes. Like if I stop being able to tell AI from human. The 3.5 version has some telltale signs but the version 4 that just came out on Suno is even harder to tell once the shimmering got fixed. Seems like right now, the most obvious signs is how it pronounces certain words like “Claws” as “clows.”

@ That’s what I assumed from the phrasing of “your vocals” and wanted to make clear it was AI in case that was a problem.

That character being associated with the ocean and mirrors seems to allow a lot of situations that are a bit more distinctive to them.

@@prodigalsun5260 2e is great, as long as you have a good DM the sky is the limit with what you can do, it can also be unforgiving if you do something stupid. 2nd is similar to 3.5 but instead of feats and skills there are proficiencies. Also armor class is reversed where lower AC is better. Otherwise not very much different.

@ I don’t recall any of my players playing an old man for a while. I believe we are thinking of a different group and I agreed to not make any songs for most player characters (hence why I have barely any mention of Solars because Solars tend to be the most they played due to 3e having that as the only option for a long time so I’m not applying vocalization in a player’s place. Is there a player group I should be aware of that I may have similar characters to? Oh, are you referring to the Company of Thrones character that used Ego-Dissolving to forget their old identity? That one was female.

@@mikko272 Ah. "I am trying to introduce my players in a current campaign to Dragons of a Different Color and they happen to be a Forest Witch as well. I kind of interpreted the reincarnation method the Forest Witches have might carry that trait over. The character likes their current life so is trying to forget their their old life via Ego-Dissolving Deception" was referring to a reincarnated female. There's a few issues right now with that one. 1. My players don't know who is the reincarnated person so making an exact song might spill the beans. 2. I will admit I let that character get too influenced by certain media that I am trying to boil down their character some more. Right now the character has not been fully explored and what the players have encountered is more surface level. I could probably make the song and not tell my players like I normally do and get the character nailed down while hearing how the AI vocalizes the lines...

All the music and art is AI generated but based on me feeding the AI previous Exalted campaigns me my players went through with a few made preemptively (if any sound like boss music ) to get into character for a scene. @ Exalted is like DnD but with “exalts” instead of classes. The simplest explanation is that an exalt is a chosen of particular god. This character is an Abyssal, she was chosen by a Deathlord to be a Deathknight in exchange for staying alive. (Think Davy Jones’ deals from Pirates of the Caribbean if you may) Exalted has on the surface a lot of anime style designs with a lot of references to Taoism but has a more Greek-style origin story (hence if you might notice some Abyssal songs of mine has random lines in Greek to represent the words of the dead titans). Exalts were created originally to fight the titans that created the world so Exalts are usually in insanely epic scale adventures but the setting also has canon comedic happenings like an Exalt being a baker and was hired by a corrupt organization so another exalt ate all the cakes to ruin the transaction. There’s even a picture of that event in one of the books. I am glad you like it, especially in context for trying inspiration for a pathfinder character. The character this song is for’s exalt type (think class) would be almost like a ranger or Druid but she is specifically stated to be oddly urban or modern so she’s the only character I have tried for more hip hop influence to show how out of place she is among her own kind and I was worried my attempt for the ai to capture her more modern speech patterns and the green cloak might be disconcerting.

@@prodigalsun5260 Perfect! Because i just made a Changeling Ranger. Changelings in Pathfinder are daughters of Hags who can either fight their nature or end up as hags so natural sociopaths - i figured being unrelenting but still having the classic witch or hag cackle just fit.

@@Zohrdan Some of these are 3.5, some I got lucky, I try until it’s not so bad, pick a style where the shimmering might sound on purpose. Worst case scenario, replace the whole song section by section usually in one minute increments. I think this one is a case of section by section I think because I recall liking the beat but it mispronouncing a lot of words with some still getting away like how it pronounces “retreat” and “winds and bends”.

@@skipmage I am mostly bound to the task of storyteller. I got to play Infernal back in 2e then 3e limited the selection options for the longest time where I have played as Solar and Lunar. The 3e Sidereal book just came out but I don’t think I will ever play a Sidereal. I’m interested in what Liminals might be able to do.

@ Dream-souled are kind of wyld yet not exactly. They do illusions. Hearteaters make non-exalts “pawns”. The Hearteaters makes targets have such strong ties of affection that their pawns are like love-struck puppets. Hearteaters have a mechanic that they gain limit if they don’t take fresh pawns. Umbrals are hard to describe. They control darkness in both figurative and symbolic sense like dark emotions and have a “shadow” that can possess them. I portray Hearteaters as recognized as one of the most terrifying things possible by those that actually know what they are. They can control whole nations by essence 5 and lorewise its mentioned that Sidereals and Lunars will cooperate to stop a Hearteater. Their exaltation go to the first mortal to touch their bones so they could be extreme cases of “nobody to nightmare” like if some random person touched the bones.

Glad you like them. If there is an issue with Suno, it’s that their subscription is based on number of songs rather than merely a time period. I’m kind of slowing at the moment because I’m actually running low on how many I have left for this month. I think this song in particular might be the culprit. Trying to get the sequences where the AI is supposed to whisper in Greek took a lot of retries. (The Neverborn are dead titans. The setting tends to have Shinto and Tao influence with the major gods like the Sun being like the Roman interpretation of events even calling the Maidens by names like Mercury and Saturn that my players and agreed that the Titans’ native language was likely similar to Latin or Greek.)

I started making these songs to listen to while being a storyteller in Exalted to get in character when interacting with players so getting viewers is more a bonus. But if I should get a profile picture, I will do so.

You were right. I tripled subscribers with what seems like a change of pictures.

These songs are based on events that happened in Exalted games, some actually still ongoing so I can stay in character so I can’t really say I can make stuff up on the fly but if there’s a character concept you particularly like, I can see if I can recall an event or trait of theirs that I can put to words. I have recently been trying for more cemented events like the argument between two characters over being Deathknights.

With your profile picture recommendation, I am happy to say I am getting more eyes on it. I was going to say these songs are for me and my players so I did not care about subscribers but getting feedback on some songs have resulted in characters being re-evaluated so I can not say that anymore.

I am still learning it myself. Seems like Suno (what I use) updates every few weeks. I would be willing to type out tips and step with maybe even provide pictures like a little grade school level word doc but figuring out how to make a video tutorial would be a skillset I have not learned.

@@garrettcoup4032 It is based on the setting of Exalted (Think D&D but classes are derived from gods) and Pyre is one of my storyteller characters. I use Suno. Suno seems to be mostly self-explanatory. You can tell Suno what you want in general terms (I do not recommend unless you don’t have an exact idea what you want.) But you can select “custom” type your own lyrics in, tell it what style you want, I recommend typing “male vocals” or “female vocals” first with every style separated by commas. If you have a paid subscription, they added a new feature called persona recently where you select a song and that song’s pattern becomes the default. I do encounter issues where songs are cut short so I select the songs that were doing well and select extend and type the lyrics its missing and then crop the excess. If there is a section you do not like in an otherwise good result, you can select “replace section.” The replace section does actually have a tutorial when you have it open. I recommend working from a pc or iPad as multiple features are not yet available on the mobile app but the mobile app is good for getting started. I started about a month and a half ago myself. If you get into it, I can try to share what I know if you encounter individual problems. But I am still experimenting with it myself. In the lyrics you can put in what seems like one to three word long meta tags in [] like [echoes], and I am still trying to figure out if using quotation marks with the meta tags makes a difference. If you put stuff in all caps it tends to make the AI more intense but it sometimes mispronounces such words. If you are interested in Exalted, I am trying to figure out where you might get some sample resources, it uses a d10 system like World of Darkness and I purchased everything through drive thrurpg theonyxpath.com/category/worlds/exalted/. I encountered it in a random forum and discovered it through memes, the community tends to be both very dedicated but also very into the memes if not a bit small I think my favorite bits can be found on tv tropes tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/TabletopGame/Exalted. It went from the more gritty 2e to the more friendly 3e setting-wise and the editions don’t full mesh lorewise so I mix and match 2e and 3e. Suno is suno.com. Suno is constantly updating with it adding the persona system and version 4 within the month I joined. If Suno has a problem I am aware of, there is known “shimmering” issues in version 4 that are currently being addressed. I am happy to discuss either subject.

Glad you like it. The persona’s default is actually supposed to be the more gentle bit at the outro so most attempts I had been making were attempts to try to alternate between the gentler tone and the tone the character is supposed to use when angry but this one is the persona consistently using their more “wild” voice but actually articulating when I would normally try to have the AI howling but tried to get it to growl a little bit. I might try more like this one in the future then.

@@xeroflarexl There are actual stories to most of the songs. If not, it’s a general action or detail that occurred in my Exalted games. Thing is half those stories are difficult for me to convey in only four minutes at the moment. Others are “boss music” I made for myself to listen to while having a boss fight so I have the character’s mentality drilled into my head while the dice are being rolled. This character in particular is currently in a bit of limbo and I am waiting for the players’ input before moving forward. She is supposed to be kind at heart but has been pushed to their breaking point. I have an idea of what she would do but if her cutting loose is fully endorsed by the few people she considers she might be more aggressive focusing on the predatory aspect of her spirit animal but she at heart is a social creature (giant wolf essentially) so I am hoping things get into a balance but right now its a case of observing what happens to see what gets reinforced.

Is there anything you might recommend to try for it being clear they are paired or connected? Unfortunately, this one was generated right before the Persona system started so I had to pick between it and Thousand Agonies Endured as the template for future songs for the character. I wound up selecting Thousand Agonies Endured. I have not gotten it remastering on Version 4 of Suno yet, kind of satisfied with how it is. I have not managed to coax it to pull the Chorus’ “Ashes to ashes, the fire’s been stained” with quite the same spirit.

I try to assign each character a persona, the only issue is that I can’t even try duets with a persona. But you make a song you think captures the intended vocal range and that becomes the template for future vocalizations.

@ Ah. I am trying to wait out Alchemical 3e. If it’s still like 2e where they are a gestalt entity, Alchemicals were always odd for me to grasp… Let’s see personality wise and using exalts limited to 2e and Essence. My current favorite that fits that criteria is a Getmian from Return of the Scarlet Empress campaign. My circle of players and hosts agreed never to do Return of the Scarlet Empress again but I liked it so had that be their Origin. Fan canon on the table is Getimians can have “duplicates” in mainline world but their character concepts need to be different enough from each other for destiny to register them as separate fates as Getimians seem to be entirely discarded fates. Then there’s a Daybreak that could be npc or player. I portray her as demon-blooded and grew up as an Infernalist so ironically hates being an Abyssal and seeks “redemption” not because they are a good person but because they wish to become an Akuma as a Solar rather than be trapped in their deathly state.
