Beautiful interpretation of Charles Trenet's song. His music is so versatile. Thank you.

Joe Venuti was a famiky friend. He used to play in our living room when I was a kid. When I started performing with my girlfriend (just off the US Ski Team) singing all the old swing and blues numbers, I asked Joe if could sit in with us. He said the Union wouldn't allow it. We moved to Maui and played there. When Joe was dying in the hospital, while I was still on Maui, he asked for my father to come and call all his old friends in Italy to say goodbye. My dad was born in Tuscany and spoke fluent Italian. On another note, I aspired to play like these guys. I had a Maciferri guitar ( plastic) but finally gave it up and became a commercial fisherman in Alaska. Great show lads.

So good man. Not saying you get anything wrong, but it's inspiring to see how much more important it is keeping the spirit of the music going than hitting every note dead on. Bravo.

It's really impressive and I know this is not gona be popular but I just find it too fast 😬 the melody seems frantic to me!

1- this is 308 BPM, fast up-tempo but not "ridiculously" fast by any means. Ridicuously fast is at least above 340 or 350 BPM. There are jazz tunes recorded near 400BPM. That's pretty ridiculously fast. This is not. 2- You struggle and ultimately fail to phrase in 8th notes with regularity and consistency. You drag and tend to completely get left behind. This is even more obvious if you put a metronome in the same time you listen to the video.

😂😂😂 Well, we'll all look forward to your video showing us how it's done at (at least) 350bpm. Be sure to tag us to let us know!

@@sjdxo Actually yeah, I could defo do that. I got other things in my practice planning to do though, so won't be right away, but I can definitely put it there and keep you updated when I get there. Also why do you feel the need to precise in Ab ? That tune is in Ab alright, grats for noticing.

Love this version of Autumn Leaves the best, thank you for pouring your heart and soul into your music. ❤ May I ask what pickup you use with your violin? My son is looking for a pickup with his acoustic violin and would love to know what you use.
