What doesn’t quite fit in is that even SpongeBob and Patrick are too old for panty raids, the immature stuff they do for their age is usually legal. In fact, an important reason to why teenage boys are motivated to do them is because they can’t get into the same trouble as young adults do.

Maybe you'll think that Patrick and SpongeBob were out of character, but I guess that they just wanted to have revange against Mr Krabs after he said that they were babies and planned this "panty raid" to piss him off.
