Fake sacramentals like a fake Miraculous medal is considered an occult object. There is proper way to dispose it. There is an exorcism prayer for lay people that needs to be recited when destroying occult objects like fake sacramentals. Pls. don't simply dispose or throw it away. Disposal should be accompanied by exorcism prayer. You can search online (reputable websites) or ask your exorcist in your diocese about the prayer and how to dispose occult objects like fake sacramentals.

Hi. Here I am, 4th August 2024. My son has a birthday soon. I was racking my brains as to what to get him and I started to see a lot of vids about The Miraculous Medal. Checked it out on the net, found them on Amazon, bought one. About to switch off for the night, I loaded a new KZbin page ready for the morning. Right at the top of the feed, in the middle, is YOUR vid. Watched some (first few mins), then decided to watch the rest tomorrow (today). Went to bed, got up, got the medal, checked the medal and, guess what? I'll be sending it back tomorrow. Right hand of the virgin missing, rays from behind. I thought well, I'm at church today (Sunday), I'll get the priest to bless it, job done. Then I thought, but I'm still funding evil. So, back it goes. Thank you for this. Hi, there, I was always giving out miraculous medals and thought perhaps Jesus may have thought that I loved Our lady more than himself. A friend of mine prayed and said to me take a pen and paper with you when you go to bed tonight and God will speak to you. I did this, and during the night I was given a vision of the Madonna and Child and I wrote this down on paper and went back to sleep. Sometime later I was woken with another vision. I saw a large miraculous medal, possibly 6 feet high. I could see the little ring at the top and slowly the image was revealed to me as though it was being unveiled. What I saw was the image not of Mary, but Jesus, and as soon as I recognised the image as Jesus - the image of Jesus changed into the image of the blessed mother. What did I learn by this vision - whatever you do for Our Blessed Mother you do for Jesus! Stuart Young

mine looks to be more hand made (it is very, very old as it belonged to my grandfather when he was a child) the oval isn’t a perfect oval, it is an oval and it is perfect but there are very slight evenly spaced dull edges as to give it a very unique look. (12 edges in total, same number as the stars on the back except there’s 5 small edges on each side, one on top and one on bottom. The stars however are exactly as you described them. Theres no funny business in the imagery on the front or back, just a unique oval that makes it look hand made rather than smelted in an oval cast. 🤷‍♂

They are all real unless the back part is totally blank, one star here or there doesn't make it fake or evil if it's been blessed. Unless of course the medal is a pagan medal, it's silly to fall for this fearmongering which the devil enjoys. He wants everyone to throw away their medals.

My sister called the company and let them know and they were very happy that she told them. The best thing to do, if you find a fake one, is to destroy it and throw it away. I am a protestant convert and have been researching consecration to mary through Maximilian kolbie and mentioned to my kids that i would love to have a miraculous medal, but money is tight. And that very Sunday, some ladies set up a prayer table in front to hand out blessed rosaries and such each of my children and i were able to get a Miraculous medal (a correct one and blessed) free along with a crusifix they could each wear (which made my 7 year old sons day as he has been asking for a crusifix necklace for awhile it was just such a blessing that Our Lady provided something i had just voiced . (Sadly I did find a fake one and soaked it in holy water and disposed of it. I did not bury it on our property as we have been having a real issue of spiritual warfare and I was not going to take a chance on anything hindering the spiritual side of things.)

"The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal" in Paris has a miraculous medal on the courtyard statue that says "J'ai Ete Etablie Gardienne"(google it), and there is a sculpture of the medal there - the star position is on top of the cross. This statue is part of the shrine itself. Actually all medal versions with both star position could be seen sculpted/painted throighout the shrine. I think both layout is valid and we are just putting meaning on certain star positioning where there should be none?

Hmm. Mine has 6 pointed stars with round balls at the points. The rays appear from behind Our Lady's hands. The stars in her crown are dota. Her face is more a blob. It's cheap aluminium, die cast I think and the size of my thumbnail, though I have large hands. I can't quite make out the snake or the crown of thorns around the Sacred Heart, but there is the suggestion. It might just be worn down though I have only been wearing it for a few weeks.

There is actually a mental condition called scrupolosity or religious OCD. People affected by this are overly meticulous in their religious practice and give special meanings to things and attributes good or bad personal beliefs on things that borders on pathological thinking. The medal is just a reminder that God is with us and is a form of a "silent prayer" to Him. It has no power on itself. Believing so is superstition. It is not an amulet nor a piece of jewelry meant to adorn oneself. We should focus more on God and the Blessed Mother Mary and not on the medal though we should respect it. All the miracles and healings came from God and manifested due to people's faith then and now.

I have encountered a fake Miraculous Medal - that was being sold on ebay ( am sure the sellers wasnt doing this intentionally, its just that he/she didnt really pay close attention to details. Which i did and this is what i noticed. 1) the face of the Blessed Mother looked like a witch ( you can see that it was done intentionally. Appreciate the content, but a word of warning out of love about these medals and Dr. TM. I just heard about on Good Friday from my parish priest when I went for the Stations of the Cross. I made some rosaries with MM and had given them to him to hand out to anyone who may have been in need of one. He said he heard about this controversy and asked me to look into it. Here's what I found: 1. This started as a dispute between the two Catholic apostolates distributing the MM. 2. In 2009, a Frenchwoman claimed that Freemasons had struck false medals matching one in the dispute. 3. According to a French woman known as “Danielle”, who claimed to have received a private revelation from God the Father, the Freemasons had struck a “false” miraculous medal. Unless your medal has obvious satanic/freemason symbols, it is doubtful that they are satanic. Here's why: 1. Historical roots in a public dispute. 2. Unverified claims of private revelation. Private means it's not approved by the Vatican. 3. Uncritical dissemination in media. This is similar to stories going viral and out of control before being properly vetted. But later came to realize much of the stories perpetuated by media, including TM were unfounded - often taken from secondhand stories and rarely taken directly from words of Pope Francis. Sure, the Church has many problems. Sure, the Pope may not be the best we've had. But you have to realize we are called to be in communion with the Church. If you desire change, you work for it from INSIDE the Chruch, not separate. The difference? The first is the mentality of some of the greatest saints. The second is the mentalist of Protestants. Some (because I don't know the exact number) of these bishops have shown themselves to be schismatic more recently as well. If I had continued to follow TM's channel, I wonder if I would have recognized it. Schism, simply put, is separating from the CC and the Office of the Pope and his authority as the Vicar of Christ. Even if the Pope is absolutely wrong, separating yourself from the CC and the Pope is not what we are called to do as Catholics because once you do, you are literally no longer a Catholic. They are tiny, the size of my pinky nail. It doesn’t have the full prayer, rays , doesn’t show her feet or snake. But it has the other elements. I'm not sure what the stars have to do anything, there was no description of stars in Catherine Laboure's vision. Also, pentagrams, or 5 pointed stars are more related to Satan than 6 pointed stars. FYI the Star of David is a 6 pointed star.

I received a legitimate medal I believe that is legitimate, for free, from a real organisation that disperses genuine medals. I received a free miraculous medal in the mail. To know it is authentic, it should say “1830” stamped at Mary’s feet (at least it does on mine).

I was bought a medal and chain when I was 19 by the lady I would eventually marry. Although our marriage ended I always kept the medal safe and never took it off. It’s been on my neck for nigh on 24 years now. I took it off to look at it and I’m now sick at heart as it has some of the blemishes you described. It has a star on top of the crucifix, as opposed to either side. The 12 stars have 6 points. The dagger seems to be behind the heart. Mary’s face seems odd in it. And the inscription is not the same. I have always wanted to pass this on to my eldest son when my time would come. I’m devastated about it. I have taught my daughter to seek it on my neck every time she would be in my arms. She would look for mama Mary. And kiss it. I feel so sad right now.

For everyone asking if “it’s ok as long as it’s blessed?” Please think about this more objectively. If you wouldn’t wear a baphomet or Krishna/Kali medal that had been blessed by a priest, then you shouldn’t wear a desecrated counterfeit miraculous medal; the master of which was LIKELY dedicated to a demon and cursed.
