It looks exacly the same as my friend brought with him from the Netherlands with the promise of a lifetime job . But its not as longlasting after 18 years it had shrunk and hardend and came lose from the bottom tiles . The ridge tiles had to be taken off and re-laid . I would go for a dry system or mortar

I’ve used Flexim to replace mortar in my valleys at home and reseat some ridge tiles. Yea it’s expensive but last about 4 times longer than mortar. Doesn’t crack like mortar, will move with the tiles during wind, self repairs, instantly waterproof, paintable. It may cost more compared to mortar but the labour time is significantly cheaper so it balances out.

Doesn't work well on wet tiles or granular tiles so it does have many limitations also not that cheap

Hi there. You just need to use a water based paint. Something like Wattyl Solagard. You can use an etch based primer if you like, but it is not necessary. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

@@EvoBuildingProductsBanksmeadow Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking for something I can get in US. I was told use Flex Seal, but my test of Flex Seal liquid seemed to peel off fairly easy after about 2 days dry time. It is not water based. Seems like lots of high end exterior latex house paints are acrylic or acrylic polymer. I assume any of those would be good? Should the wakaflex be wiped with any kind of a cleaning solvent first? I'm using this as a base coat to stick stone sprinkles for matching a stone coated steel roof. I'm thinking some of the spray paint solutions may be too thin for that. Thanks.

@@dbur971 Hi there. We only provide Wakaflex to the Australian market, and I'm not sure if you will find it or something similar in the US. I would also recommend reaching out to someone based in the US for specific information, as we are only familiar with Australian houses and products.

Never ever nail lead to the wall because you’ve created a split in the lead which over time spreads wider due to the weight of the lead itself.

You chase the mortar line out in the brick about an inch and put a inch lip on the lead then insert into to the wall and fix with wedges!!!! Never ever do you nail it wall Jesus Christ

There was already lead chased in the wall, the bloke lifted it up to do the job the wakaflex and lead where aprons, he pinned the lead into brickwork to dress it the muppet, encouraged splits over time.

Shockingly horrific, learn how to install a lead flashing correctly and it will last a life time, not this stick to the wall stuff that won’t last half as long as lead. 🤠 Yeeha

how is it with the coefficient of expansion? smaller? The weight of lead is higher also important by heavy wind. What to do about it?
