Dawg I’m Mexican and idk about that this guys fighting style is more prone to win hard to read, feints good, good lateral movement good defensive reactions and and absolutely solid top control and ground and pound game mixed with submission attempts that aren’t forced he also has a good offensive wrestling and then we got Jesus his takedown defense is nowhere to be found at times abandons position for submission essentially putting himself on bottom and I’m telling you he doesn’t wanna be under this guy cuz this guys gonna work him and stay on top and take the rd or even get the finish and Jesus main way of getting up is wrestling which exposes the back more and takes more energy but I’ll admit jesus has ridiculous power there’s even chance he could get the KO but I promise you if he hurts him he’s gonna shoot 😂 also the way nicol shoots for single legs and double legs might put him in Jesus guillotine and lastly if it goes to decision and somehow it’s close Jesus will lose on scorecard most likely as Nicoll is the home fighter

@@TrystonFC98 not get hit with those super clean shots at the beginning, not struggle so much on the take down. A sloppy take down like that Vs Jesus or letting Jesus land those open clean shots on Aug 18th the fight isn’t going to last real long. And what I just said is all VS a regional guy with only 5 fights

@@WhosWatchingWhat What fight are you watching??? Nicoll didnt even get hit once on the feet or at all. He landed the best shots on the feet and then took him down and finished him. You also bring up him struggling on the takedown when he didnt struggle much especially while kitano had a wide base. Nicoll is very good at setting his takedowns up and getting the fight to the ground if you try to clinch with him with his trips. Not to mention his relentless pace and output on the feet and the ground. Its pretty clear why a guy this good, who has 7/8 finishes, and is undefeated is the favorite.

Hey mate leave the fighting to the pros? Maybe do one wrestling class and youll understand how hard it is to defend takedowns constantly. Then rewatch this fight and see how one fighter sees his opponent getting tired so puts foward pressure on him including shooting takedowns and making him constantly work.

First time watching watching this back, it's made me realise: Kepu just knocked him out with out having to throw a single kick. When you watch it back, you can see Kepu has a really basic game, and that sounds like a knock, but it's the opposite, he does the most effective things, really well. Lots of short straight punches and a mean left hook with the patience to find it a home on Stoddarts jaw when Stoddart threw defence to the wind to try and finish. Stoddart is the opposite, very flashy kicks, great speed in the striking and a very tight ground game, but he throws alot of loopy sort of punches and has a huge tendency to drop his hands very low. I wonder if that was an in match read that Kepu made or if his team had seen enough tape to know about Stoddarts hand placement. Anyway, interesting to see where both these guys go from here. Kepu vs Vendy would make sense considering they both are now having knocked out Stoddart in very similiar fashion in their most recent fights (round 1 with punches) Stoddart is a more interesting case, will need time off to recover from the KO, but maybe a Christian Lapham or Emil Jerries rematch
