Hello from Australia! I love the any gauge concept… so refreshing! Question- how do you factor in blocking and how the yarn might stretch after it is blocked? Thx 🙏
@debgemmell4355 ай бұрын
Good question! That's the job of your swatch. Knit one, wash it, block it, dry it, and then measure for your gauge on this swatch. Then believe it as you work your sweater!

This works on any top down raglan. I think I was working a raglan showing various options for adding some design elements on my blog.

Thanks for this guide, Deb. I am going to try it in the hopes that it clears up the gappy look. I heard you mention 'stress' on the stitches and that is exactly what the cable hook does. Most likely that is the cause to my gaps. Excellent video.

Yes you should have two sets side by side. You are doing it correctly.

I’m doing the tuck stitch hoodie, but the second short row confused me. It says k2tog then make a TWK. So now I have 2 sets of TWK sts beside each other! How can that be if you knit the first TWK together.
@saskiaboudreaux16944 жыл бұрын
Never mind I got it! I love this pattern. It is the third one I’m knitting over 3 years. But must confess. I struggle most of the time after the neck band.

Deb Gemmell it will be mine as well from now on! What is the best method for closing the small hole that it leaves? I worked the toe increases for two socks then transferred them to a single circular needle to be worked two-at-a-time. So far they’re turning out great!
@etm5676 жыл бұрын
Your very first stitch went by too fast for me. I don't know what you did to start this. Why would you demonstrate a stitch without showing how to start it? I'm not even sure what you said.
@debgemmell4356 жыл бұрын
This is a variation of the Cable Cast On method. Make a slip knot and put it on the needle. Cast On one stitch using the knitting on cast on method or the cable cast on method. Once you have 2 stitches on your needle you can begin working the cast on as I'm showing you.

Thanks very much! So the short rows generally extend a few stitches past the side markers to the front side of the sweater, also affecting the shoulders?
@aminayusuf371110 жыл бұрын
You say to knit every round until I have half the number of stitches for my sock. That does not make sense to me. Because the star on the toe is only like 1/4 of the whole sock any ways. So how many increases do I do every row until I knit decreases every other row?
