i know very well the first 4 Lp´s but stoped hearing from them and i saw them live more than once but in the first real musical festival in my country , they played by the time of the third Lp ,the tradicional instrument in the right of the screen when conected to a distortion pedal it made all people there cheer them as most of the kids there had never heard them but it was a nice surprise for the young people there and all really liked it, this before a Marylin Manson concert when they released the anti-christ superstar, no one expected that show also, it seems not to fit but two concets that made all there jump , scream and dance to Hedningarna mainly, i think their sound touches the soul even not undestanding the words but the tone of the voice and instruments transmit a feeling, i also like the Aion from Dead Can Dance the first two or three songs are kind of the same level also as the Bulgarian voices Lp´s or others

Also on the handwritten sheet music there is another name of a source "efter..." but unfortunately I can't read it, if someone can would be great to know the name

El guitarrista en esta banda además de acompañar la melodía también acompaña haciendo el ritmo como so fuera una percusión, me recuerda en este sentido al que fuera guitarrista de la banda irlandesa Nightnoise Michael O'Donmnail (no sé si está bien escrita, disculpas), por otra parte Vasen me parecen excelsos

Just discovered these guys via Snarky Puppy's song Shapons Vindaloo (off of the Family Dinner - Vol. 2 recording) featuring Olov Johansson of Vasen. Wow what talented musicians. The tightness of the playing and the beautiful layered arrangements are just spectacular

"The incomparable Mari Boine and her amazing band" - you sure got that right! I had the great good fortune to see her at the Hay festival some years ago: she was warm, charismatic, spellbinding; the music quite superb. I was of course anticipating wonderful things, but blimey, the live experience was something else.
