Dreadful tired old planes , don’t use em anymore used to be ok years ago , not now .

Recently, I literally came back to Taiwan from LHR via flying EVA Air, and the experience was pretty great and comfortable. Even though this is my first trip alone to Europe since the pandemic occurred, I didn’t feel any panic or intense during this journey.

Old and dated by the looks of it, think I will pay the extra and fly with a top notch airline (Emirates) sitting 11 or 12 hours without getting off, can’t be good for the body or your head 😮

As a slightly larger person i do find the 4 seats a little to snug. I always try to get an aisle seat i the 3 seat rows. But otherwise no complaints about the service.

We flew Sun Express Gatwick to Dalaman and I didn’t find them that great. Same issue trying to understand what the pilot was saying and the cabin crew didn’t care about making sure everyone had seatbelts on when landing back at Gatwick. Turkish airports seem more expensive than normal

Did they waive the extra kilograms? We’re doing this trip in October. Was the only direct flight I saw and was much cheaper than the 5 hour ones via Bangkok. Regarding the return flight situation, can I use my return flight from Bangkok to uk rather than booking a return flight from Vietnam , as considering train to return to Thailand? Thx.

I went with EVA air once November 23 from Heathrow. Never again. I thought they gave crap service, staff ignored most of the paying people on the plane. Like it was beneath them to do anything.

Being a Manchester man, I'm limited for choice when it comes to flying to Bangkok as I much prefer getting the main slog to Asia out of the way, am a bit fed up with spending hours getting ripped off in middle eastern airports so the only decent options for me in October were Singapore Airlines who are now ludicrously expensive (£1200) economy from Man to BKK, so in the end as I'll be working in Bangkok I decided to go direct with Thai Airways in business class which means hotels and flights between Man and LHR all in £3300 with minimal faff and hopefully a good few hours in the lounge at Heathrow before being pampered on the plane, hopefully will be worth every penny, especially with the fast tracking elements.

How was the cost ,? Reasonable

I did notice that Thai still has 3 3 3 seating configuration which after suffering EVA economy with the extra seat now thrown in will be the deciding factor for me with my next booking. Thanks for uploading

Odd aproach into lhr over windsor castle, flown 10 times bkk/lhr and always come in over london city,.

Loving these flight videos , i think the trick is dont drink to much while waiting or during the flight, and go to the toilet just before boarding, i only have a boots meal deal (only available at boots near the departure gates), the big boots in T2 waiting area seems to have been aquired by london pride pub, !, a cheese & ham sandwich a pkt crisps plus a red bull sees me through to boarding , once on board, complementary orange juice and a couple of cans of beer plus a white wine and a couple of coffees (with meals) sees me through 12 hour flight with only one or two max pee breaks, some say alcohol and flights dont mix, but 2 tins of beer and a couple white wines has never made me "kick off" during a flight, usually the opposite, knocks me out for a few hours usually, i cant wait to play the 70+ fast track card, although my top tip is if the 1st immigration Q is long, keep walking a few yards and there is a 2nd immigration Q, usually a lot less busy than the 1st Q, worked a few times for me to,.

It seems you made good time considering you had a 2 hour delay, usually land around 4pm but you still had daylight so must have landed by 6pm ish ? i book suvarrnabhumi suites hotel at lat krabang for my arival, its only 10 minutes from airport, unwind on the rooftop restaurant and start afresh next morning after breakfast,. I stop there on my return flight to, breakfast in morning and 10 minutes back to airport around 10am to catch the 1pm flight home, i suspect your quick exit through immigration was due to you being out of sinc of your propper arrival time,.ive been through in 10/20 mins a few times, did you use the thai passport holders desk or the 70 y/o priority desk method ? ,.cheers

Great info on the “ old codgers” express lane, I’m 70 now so will check that out next time, I usually book Thai and free seat choice on the online check in app,. I’ve flown Eva a few times and to be fair both airlines have been brilliant,. It’s usually down to price which one I pick,.hopefully Thai /Eva keep the same gates on the old terminal in bkk to save the extra hassle of getting the train connection to the new extra terminal that’s just opened in bkk,. Thai and Eva flight share tkts sometimes, I’ve seen the Thai plane cover for the non existent Eva plane in Lhr evening flight,. Not sure how it all works, not very economical having 2 half full flights, so I guess that is why they flight share,. It will be a happy day when I find I need to spend a few thousand pounds on a watch at the duty free watch shop, I’ve usually got about 1000 bht in my wallet coming home,.

Better nowadays, eh? Before, you had to fly from Chiang Mai to Don Muang in Bangkok, check in your luggage again and then take a SECOND aircraft from Bangkok to Saigon! I still DO avoid Air Asia, however--Bangkok Airways is an infinitely better deal! 🙂

I live in Vietnam and the same happens here in similar time frames. It was a bit of a shocker when we left our house, we came back to The Jungle Book too.

Antalya airport has consistently got more and more busy. The prices have also keep creeping up. We had little choice but to opt for a subway sandwich last year and for a family of 5 it was around €60. Even bottles of water were extortionate and I assume the air conditioning in the airport is off to make you buy more drinks. We flew sun express last year and booked again this year. We found the prices competitive, the flight was good and we like the flight times. The fact they include bags is also good. I hope they extend Antalya airport to manage the throughput of passengers

Hi I've been watching a few of your uploads I'm going to Bangkok in a month's time, first time leaving from Heathrow with Thai airways direct flight. I've only been to Heathrow twice and the last time was 2009. Good upload very informative!
