This is basically my gaming backlog. Just grows and grows with games I want to play but have less time to do so now, with growing the business and raising 3 kids. Fantastic! 🙃 Now, a business backlog to contend, too! Ah, growing pains! 😏

Hi Eric materials and mark up? Ok materials is usually 10% let say mark up 40% then I will work $50 an hour in my area painters are $25 an hour I will be completely uncompetitive!
@PaintingBusinessPro23 сағат бұрын
Not true. Nobody is out there doing jobs at $25 an hour cost to customer. I have hundreds and hundreds of students to prove that

Absolutely

@@PaintingBusinessPro thanks for responding. Is there a particular area you look for in d2d. Maybe I have a mental block, but it seems that people aren't receptive when you walk up to their door.

Hey I watch a lot of your videos and I’m interested in growing my painting business do you have any services you offer that can help?
Hi, Eric, please explain me that. How 2 man can produce 6,000 job per week. ??? I'm $30 per hour painter, and I make. 1500 a week.
@PaintingBusinessProКүн бұрын
2 of you would be $3,000 in labor. Then there is materials and mark up. Thats $6k or even more

I have been using chat GPT I paid about 10.00 for the better version. It works wonders and it also breakers down all the jobs and prices. I’m in NYC so I put down NYC prices which are more expensive than other parts of the country. You can charge between 3-6 per square foot depending on the size of the job.

Any advice on subcontracting for property management in NYC

I'm following your model and got my LLC and EIN, but I'm having issues finding an insurance provider that covers 100% of the work being done by subs. Do you have any input on that?
It is brutal sometimes ....most of the time Eric, 100%

On average, how long does it take to achieve those numbers for the folks who sign up for your program with no experience or little in painting but are hungry?
@PaintingBusinessPro11 күн бұрын
3-5 years I would say - obviously depending on the person.

I’m trying to start painting business and have no idea on how to go about it. I have five jobs lined up and am unsure how to quote my customers without feeling like I’m charging to much or not charging enough. I want the customers to be happy and I want to be happy with everything when everything is done. I’ve been painting for over 15 years but this is new territory for me.

Thank you. As a young entrepreneur I’ve opened my own sole business even got an employer number from the IRS. I’ve been gathering knowledge from you. I’ve painted for 2 years but always wanted to own my own company as I’m just tired of not being able to do stuff my own. I’ve ordered signs to place outside neighborhoods and have physically gone around and handed out business cards / also hinting verbally that I paint. I unfortunately don’t have materials yet but my next check is going towards ladders, sanders, rollers, and everything I possibly need including prep material. Taxes is also a big thing in business. I’d love to see a video on how you do taxes for your painting business. What you deduct, what to expect on a negative year, etc

I've been a painter for 40 years. I get $600 Per room including ceiling walls and trim. Including materials.

Studying aviation "accidents" is instructive here. In Aviation, they have "mishaps", or preventable incidents. If you look back a plane crash, you can most likely find pilot error, or maintenance errors. Reflection and application of what you learned is very important. Good Video!!

There’s a new 3d printer that paints walls now, pretty much looks like a robot that paints faster than a human with a spray gun. Perhaps AI can become our entire painting crew, project manager, estimator, office manager. Just send in the bots!
