I agree at a high-level this is the correct progression - with the caveat that a rock solid foundations at those earlier stages has been built first. I see many experienced business owners come into the cleaning and local service industries like painting but can't hack those initial stages of growth who then end up leaving thinking it's a terrible business model. When really, they were getting ahead of themselves and tried to step out of the business too early.

I really enjoyed this interview it was both motivational and informative. I really appreciate all these successful people sharing their struggles and what worked for them. I watch every episode thank you both for your time.

Out of all the interviews you guys did this one is probably the best one so far. I love how he went into detail on the marketing aspect of the business. Great video 👍

Eric B, before I even watch it this podcast could not have come at a better time for me! Started my painting business back in May after quitting my lucrative career bc I couldn't stand it any longer. Going through a divorce as well so decided to bet on myself. I left my apartment by choice to live in my van full time, but fortunately I did bc the business has been struggling and couldn't afford rent. Cash is tight atm even without paying rent, but I'm going all in on my painting business and know that it will succeed!

Nice thanks for sharing. I think the goal is less painting, who wants to quit painting? I’m in love with the craftsmanship… and profits, 5 star reviews, referrals, no marketing. Then when you hit a restraint with incoming phone calls you hire skilled painters that are willing to follow your on site systems and give them incentives. - my thoughts

Thanks for the content. I started my business in March 2024 and that first business you described in “phase zero” is exactly me. Only I did EVERYTHING solo including all of the painting. Definitely not ideal and am looking to hit that next level this upcoming year by implementing some of this stuff.

Don’t let him confuse you, being on the tools is extremely important to create a foundation. Without that you can never produce quality at a speed where the company makes money. Don’t rely on your employees to figure out the steps it takes to complete the project. Do it with them then fall back when you have exact steps or jobs won’t get done on time and your just not maximizing the amount of money your making.

Don't look at the UK Public Services. It is shocking, they waste their own time 20 times over and waste the public's time too. Oh and that is before the corruption (Post Office inquiry).

Blue Screen error handling was revolutionary at the time! If it’s so bad why are there entire data centers dedicated to Windows? Why is Windows the most commonly used desktop OS?

I started a multiservice business, cleaning, professional organizing, interior painting. I make most of my money cleaning but i want to hire and focus more on what i love...painting....hopefully i get there
@brettfisher2922 күн бұрын
You definitely have the right idea. It's much better to niche down rather than spread your focus out. Whether you want to keep it small or scale with employees. Also, you chose the right one because the profit potential for painting is much higher than those other services IMO. I just started in May and have done $250k in rev.

my problem is I am a great painter and crackfiller with alot of great clients, however I cannot find good workers here in my area. By the hour or subcontrators.
