He is the perfect male!!!! Apart fromhis voice, both singing and speaking, everything about Nik is just so wonderful!!! I really fell hopelessly under his spell at Live Aid ( which I attended) His music is so inspiring. Again he is perfect in my eyes. Reenie from Baltimore.

Saw him yesterday here in Switzerland driving all the way from Rome. Going strong at 66. His voice harmonies are amazingly still there, almost no change

I’m going to see him driving all the way from Rome to Switzerland in 2 days. I still believe this song is a jewel of harmonics and the fact that the lyrics are nonsensical makes it even more fascinating. I was born in the 70s and this song has been my soundtrack all the way.

What year did "Old Friends" come out??? The pictures of Nik look like he was still quite young. It is a shame the. Pictures are so small. He still is very cute!!!!. Love the cap and shades. My heart still belongs to him, after 40 or so years. Irene Bridges. Baltimore MD.

I really like Nik Kershaw's music and stuff, but one of the things that always confused me about him is the color of his eyes. Like, is it blue or brown? I see them changing color all the time during the years 84 and 85, could someone help me solve this riddle? Lol

Going to see him in Switzerland (driving all the way from Rome) next weekend. This song has been my life’s soundtrack since I was a teenager. I’m really excited and almost emotional.

This version has a very different groove to it. And I'm not complaining, and the fact that the lyrics are nonsense makes me love it even more.
@brandihubl433825 күн бұрын
If it was nonsense then why the masonic floor and the Alice in Wonderland reference? I speculate that the record label would never have tolerated a deeper message from an awakened soul.

Nick's story is very telling of how talent and songs only take you to the very top if the big money machine wants you to go there. Fortunately it takes nothing away from his brilliance. I knew he was that from early on. I remember as a child how 'Roses' really got me thinking it was both odd and supremely uplifting. His albums are my favorites whenever I need the perfect mood enhancement.

Excuse me, but I reckon that Near a tree by a river There's a hole in the ground Where an old man of Aran Goes around and around And his mind is a beacon In the veil of the night For a strange kind of fashion There's a wrong and a right is far from nonsense, thank you very much. :D Did you listen to recent pop music lately?
