I’ll be visiting Naples for 3 nights soon, one day I’ll be visiting Pompeii, the other I’ll be visiting Capri. Any advisory to suggest I should skip Capri to get a full day in Naples? Or just enjoy Naples around the day trips? I don’t really count the day I arrive or leave since I’ll only get a few hours on those days each for Naples to visit.

@@heavensgate4925 It all depends what your preferences are, and what you'd like to see. Definitely possible to fit both Pompeii and Capri into your itinerary, but wouldn't leave you much room to explore Naples.

Actually Capri is beautiful but very expensive. You can visit the other 2 islands Ischia and Procida

Naples is Naples, not the South. Only a town. Even at 50 km everything is different. Imagine in other southern regions how different can be. So instead of having preconceptions, it is better to visit them.

Napoli ha molti nemici. Da sempre. E i nemici di Napoli, di fronte alla sua plurimillenaria storia sono come le pulci vicino all'elefante. Ma questo non influisce sulla sua indomabile identità di metropoli. Per conoscere un luogo non basta una passeggiata di poche ore. Altrimenti se vado in America dovrei scappare dopo pochi minuti... Oppure se vado in un qualsiasi altro luogo dovrei inorridire se qualcosa non mi piace. Oltre ogni considerazione geografica, in tutti i luoghi del mondo( anche a 50 km da Napoli) vi sono cose brutte e belle. Una cosa è certa. Napoli e' invidiata da molti. 😊

@@stefanorusso3966 Yes, I agree, we only see a snapshot really (I was there for 3 days) I didn't see anything that would make me run away, at least not on my first visit 😁

@@stefanorusso3966 Napoli è bellissima e tutti lo sanno, ma ha molti più problemi delle altre città, specialmente a causa della densità abitativa, che concentra eccessivamente le persone in una fascia stretta vicino al mare. Inoltre è una città antica non costruita per le auto. Questi stessi problemi oggettivi creano problemi sociali.

@@giorgiodifrancesco4590 Ha gli stessi problemi delle altre città delle sue dimensioni. Anzi la criminalità è in calo. Rispetto alle altre metropoli. Il tasso criminale è il terzo/ quarto in Italia. Il primo posto lo detiene milano, il secondo roma( dati del viminale). A Napoli è in crescita la criminalità dei non napoletani. Riguardo ai problemi sociali negli ultimi due anni è in crescita il numero delle imprese, rispetto anche al nord. E quest'ultimo dato si estende a tutta la regione.
