When cars where leaded an N,A ,no driver aids,Tc ,Abs, just the drivers and there skills , the sport is so fake now drivers arnt as good as they were with all the driver aids ,its looks fast nowadays but that's cus the electronics reduces loss of traction and nearly cars are 4wd ,i liked it better like this , Well Fuck you anyways Tiovenon you ended an era with that crash ,Rip Henri ,I'd say in heaven he was gutted over them banning group B over him,

Excellent coverage of REAL rallying... As well as the motivation issue with Walter Rohrl, there was also a political/ethical issue, as He doesn't smoke, & avoided promoting Rothmans (other than actual driving); this probably hastened his departure from the Rothmans/Opel team; He went on to drive for Martini Lancia in 1983.

Wonderful upload ! This is ralling 😎😎😎 At the beginning a large presentation of every team. Why not also for Lancia? 037 was tecnically superior at that time, ignition turbo volumetric... i think because it was from italy ... it isn't? 🤔🤔🤔

The 1980s were so special, it felt special at the time, almost like a dream. English presenters used to rely on content, and the raw coverage had no other motives but to convey the pure excitement of motorsport. We were very lucky. I am grateful to those great men who built a white-hot technological era that burned too bright, and will never be equalled.

Used to take a week off work with a buddy of mine,sleep in the car and do 1200 miles & follow the network q rac in the 90's in the Mcrae years up and down the whole country in November. It was amazing got some great memories,a far cry from what they've done to it today ,ruined it! We did see Colin win though!

Very sad that the Rally didn't run this year, major chick between the Government and the organisers. And think the days where drivers the quality of Ari Vatanen and Henri Toivonen are coming over here are long gone. How I'd love to see an Escort MK2 being thrown around the islands roads again.

4 wd Audies beating all the two wheel drive cars...feckin amazing. Then ofcourse when Peugoet and Lanci brought out their 4 wd cars Audi kept losing and then fecked off. They've milked this period for decades and really set them up for who they are now always masters of managing the regulations to their advantage...clever lads and lasses but a little cynical.

I fail to see what is cynical about it. Where are Ford and Subaru today eh? After all they too dominated the rally scene in days past. Nothing remains the same for ever.
