This is sorta interesting, he’s playing very ape with a lot less distortion than he did in the studio version, not even, in general he uses a lot more distortion, goes to show how much Cobain loved to switch shit around with his music

I work at a bar that I've been hanging out at for 20 years. I'm older than I look, so invariably when newer patrons settle in I often get asked how old I am. I always say: "that's classified but I am old enough to have seen Nirvana live". It was this show. ...or back when I used to go to alot of shows, I'd hear kids try to one up each other about who they've seen .. I used to love interrupting with the mic drop and say: "Nirvana mfers!"

You say 1988. The tape says 87. Either way, this was around the time Appetite for Destruction was released, which itself was based off work done years before. Here's the band that would take on GnR and other more polished acts, rehearsing in the late 80s, ready to explode 3 years later. We're witnessing the change of guard.
