Why US navy didn’t adopt integrated mast to her new class of frigate.
@entertainbea
@entertainbea Күн бұрын
@myonaoe, the decision by the US Navy not to adopt an integrated mast for the new Constellation-class frigates involves several factors. Integrated masts, while offering benefits like reduced radar cross-section and improved sensor integration, also come with complexities and potential cost implications. The US Navy likely evaluated these factors and decided that a more traditional mast setup better met their current operational requirements, budget constraints, and timeline for these frigates. Thanks for your insightful question and for watching our video!

Wouldn't LMRS be very effective to bomb trenches or other shelters before sending troops to clear out the rest? Because they're not guided, they can be cheaper and have more range or a better payload. When you're hitting a trench, abandoned buildings, or villages where enemies might shelter in, volume is probably better than precision, right? Another maybe good idea is AI-spotting drones to be launched from those same systems, but they will just go on a pre-programmed path with a lot of range to spot anything and make a big digital map where all the locations where it took a picture will be marked and show you the picture and coordinates if you press on it. Then personnel can review the pictures and decide to send the kamikaze drones at them or artillery or just use it as recon before attacking. Maybe an option for them to return to a point so they can be reused would be nice. sorry for my bad english i,m not a native english speaker
@entertainbea
@entertainbea Күн бұрын
@marijnnn4992, you bring up some excellent points! Utilizing LMRS (Long-Range Multiple Rocket Systems) for bombing trenches or shelters indeed has its merits, particularly in scenarios where volume can outweigh the need for precision. The cost-effectiveness and enhanced payload capabilities of unguided munitions can certainly make them advantageous in such situations. Saturating an area with firepower can be very effective for softening up enemy positions before sending in ground troops. Your idea of AI-spotting drones is also very innovative. These drones could significantly enhance situational awareness by providing real-time reconnaissance and creating detailed digital maps of the battlefield. This pre-programmed pathing and image-marking system could streamline the process of identifying targets and planning subsequent attacks, whether with kamikaze drones or artillery. Having drones that can return for reuse adds another layer of efficiency and sustainability to military operations. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and contributing to the discussion on modern warfare technology!

Lloyd's Register is a leader in maritime certification and safety, and their involvement helps ensure that the Seaglider is designed to handle a variety of conditions safely and reliably. While it's true that extreme weather can challenge any form of transportation, the goal of the Seaglider is to provide a new, efficient, and safe option for many routes where traditional ferries are used. Ongoing testing and certification will address these challenges to make sure the Seaglider is ready for real-world conditions. @glenbolderson9279, Great question! The advancements discussed in the video are game-changing for several reasons: 1. USAF F-35s and Joint Strike Cruise Missiles: These new missiles significantly enhance the F-35's strike capabilities, allowing for greater precision and range. This makes the F-35 a more formidable force in both offensive and defensive operations. 2. Drone-Hunting Fighters: Arming fighters with Tamir missiles from the Iron Dome system represents a major leap in counter-drone warfare. This integration boosts the ability to neutralize drone threats efficiently, which is increasingly important in modern combat scenarios. 3. Japan’s Aegis Destroyers with Hybrid Engines: The introduction of Rolls-Royce hybrid engines in Japan's Aegis destroyers is a breakthrough in naval engineering. These engines provide better fuel efficiency, increased operational range, and reduced environmental impact, which are crucial for sustained maritime operations. These innovations not only improve the effectiveness of military assets but also set new standards for future developments in defense technology. Hope this clarifies why these updates are considered game-changing!

This sounds like more basic AI. It all sounds the same. If you want more views, let an actual human read and edit the AI text. It makes potentially interesting information sound generic.

Cheap ammo and allot of force. Super expensive to maintenance due to the fact that the projectile rips apart the barrel quite quick

Thanks for your comment, @queken1627! You bring up a very valid point. Railgun technology indeed boasts cheap ammunition and significant force, making it a game-changer in terms of firepower. However, the high velocity at which the projectiles are fired can lead to rapid wear and tear on the barrel, resulting in expensive and frequent maintenance. It's a fascinating trade-off between operational cost and performance that militaries are carefully considering. Stay tuned as we dive deeper into these complexities in future videos!
