@theotakureport_ weekly releases come out lighting fast for me due to how much manga I get overseas from Japan. I already have 86 light novels in Japanese and some of current on going manga that is still out. Never knew the English releases were selling like hot cakes 😏

Idk how it is in Australia but luckily there’s a few options for us to order either online or in person (I also have a membership with them so I get free shipping and some good discounts 👌for used ones I use thriftbooks which is an online retailer for used books

@ ok so forgive me if the explanation seems lackluster and feel free to ask if you need more details I’m not always great with explanations when I try to avoid spoilers Also for your information the series started as a light novel series which was split into 5 parts sort of like seasons to a tv show each part has a name covering somthing significant for that part and is its manga version is being adapted in multiple parts Part 1 is done and translated Part 2 is almost finished and is mostly translated Part 3 only has the first few volumes translated Part 4 has no translations as of yet Part 5 has no volumes as of yet If you read the manga first I’d say go back and read the light novels at some point as the have tons of details but the novels also contain short stories at the end of each volume featuring POV that are not from mynes POV which allows us to see how she is veiwed by all these other people Plot:Now the story starts with a young woman named Urano who loves books passing away (crushed by books.) when she awakens she is now in the body of a young child named Myne. She still has her book obsession so in this new world she of course wants to read books the only problem she is a commoner so books are entirely out of her reach. So her solution is to make them herself. Following that we see our main character use her knowledge from her past life to do her best to get to her goal of books. We meet characters in the first few books who have very interesting but also entertaining relationships with the main character. The Worldbuilding is some of the best I’ve seen in a fantasy series. Part 1 Daughter of a Soldier covers book 1-3 of the light novels 7 volumes of the manga Part 2 covers books 4-7 manga 9 volumes translated Part 3 covers books 8-12 manga only has 4 volumes translated Part 4 covers books 13-21 manga none translated yet Part 5 covers books 22-33 the manga for this part has to even start One last thing the light novels have the most detail so I’d suggest starting there since they are the source material. The manga is done well also it’s enjoyable to see things visually There is also an anime just be aware that things tend to be condensed or cut compared to the novels especially in the third season and fourth season by WiT studio is announced unknown when it will release as of yet If you need more details or info just let me know I’ll be happy to provide what I can

@ HELLOOOO I CANE BACK AFTER READING HOUSE OF THE SUN! ok so the ending was super cute and wholesome, loved it- as far as the romance aspect of the story i wasn’t too sold on it, none of the pairings really clicked for me😭 i do adore the heck out of Mao tho, and hiros chara was also really good..tbh i feel like most of the charas were really good, super well written lol, i loved the themes it portrayed as well and think it did an overall solid job of conveying them 🤧💖💖💖 tldr an enjoyable read and Mao is my precious baby 🤧🙏💖💖💖💖

Ahh that's right! It's published in Monthly GFantasy 🤔 but it's so much more suited to a Shoujo, to me anyway. The themes speak more to a "female" audience but I guess that's also why it's so special because I can see how "males" can also get so much out of it. Either way it's brilliant!! 😊 And I am going to get to Natsume's soon!!! I've heard such great things! 😁😄 I think every second comment I get is someone telling me to read it so it must be good. 🤍

Trust me, the manga volumes are have in Japan are much smaller here. I have about 20 volumes in my rooom right now. The paper is much cheaper and isn't expensive. Manga in Japan is preserved and there will be reprints or some companies will stock them up for newer fans.

I will have to check out Hiro Arikawa's other works too then. I found the story extremely interesting and the topic can be relevant in any decade. I found the same to be true with Fruits basket. The hardships of dealing with grief can be so relatable but mixed with also beautiful and fun characters has really made it a favourite of mine 😊😃
