I have not. I bought a camera mount for a go pro, screwed right in, locked, and works fine! All you need is something to screw into that when tight will not come out of rail (comes with 2 metal pieces for this, need to add others for more mounting).

Very well! I'd suggest not dragging it, using skid tape, or a cart to transport it to and from the water however otherwise it can easily scratch!

They should have the choice between the propeller, flipper, or a trolling motor! You can purchase the others separately.

I do not believe there is a spot for that specific purpose, but there are many scupper plugs and room where the pedal drive goes that could probably be used.

Please help me with the left side handle.
@fishingwitht-ravis9618Ай бұрын
First you screw off the cap on the opposite of the handle then while holding the bail unscrew the handle in the opposite direction of normal reeling motion. Then move handle to other side (must be perfectly aligned to screw onto left side) and slowly screw on in direction that you'd reel in. Once it starts to tighten, hold bail and keep turning until it is firmly tight. Then replace cap on opposite side you just installed the handle.

I just picked up one of these after circling the rod racks at Runnings for over an hour and playing with a ton of more expensive rods. This felt the best to me and if it was marked for $49.99 or even $59.99 I would have believed it. I picked up a 13 fishing kalon 3.0 blackout reel for it for $54 on sale. I can’t wait to get it strung up with some beyond braid and out on the water. I think it’s going to be a great setup and saves me money to rebuild my tackle selection.

Great review. Im wondering how many total scupper holes are there? Also, are the two storage bins water proof?
@fishingwitht-ravis96184 ай бұрын
I believe there are 6 scupper plugs total (2 in the foot wells, 2 by the seat, and 2 in the back storage area). And they are supposed to be waterproof, but that entails ensuring it seals properly. I have also not fully submerged them, but from normal splash or rain everything inside stays dry.
@richardromero80494 ай бұрын
Are they all size fits all?
@fishingwitht-ravis96184 ай бұрын
No, they have a standard and small size. I believe some styles are designed larger, but the main two sizes for most pairs should work well for anyone else.
@timhankins343622 күн бұрын
I bought the timbers, i have a narrow face, i actually got the standard size which are 145mm across the front, I contacted them and asked if i could exchange them for the small and they said yes, I actually exchanged 3 pairs for the smalls and they fit great. You have to check, not all glasses have different sizes, scroll down to the fit icon and it will tell you if they have smalls. The smalls are 138mm across the front. If you get the Signature Style, those are 140mm and they fit great too. I have 10 pairs, I know I have a problem, LOL, but I just love their color selection. Hope this helps. Their customer service is fantastic if you have an issue too.

Three lessons learned - if you leave your bait bucket unattended the birds will eat the bait. If you leave your large fish pole unattended the hooked fish will yank it in the water. And if you leave your hook and sinker dangling above the waterline a bird will fly by, get hooked and drag the pole in the water. And it's likely that bird will die a slow and painful death. But the FWC's mandatory Skyway Pier fishing course is supposed to address all these issues and more.
@zebwalton9798 ай бұрын
I have the 1500 size in this, a size I consider multipurpose. I don’t need 250 yards of 10lb braid. Who does? It’s a light, durable and smooth reel I pair with ultra light, light or medium light powered fiberglass or composite rods such Berkley or Eagleclaw. It’s currently on a TFO I use for trout and that combo is outstanding. This is a Daiwa reel... a Fuego to be exact. A few items were switched out to make it a bit less expensive and a color change was made. Great review! To the point and without any fluff (no annoying music, extended and pointless fishing action and without bias towards brand.)

The first berkley rod I bought about 9 years ago snapped on a cast shortly after buying so I stayed away from them for a while. I eventually picked up a berkley lightning just over a year ago and it was way better than the first one I got. I now have a 7’ Medium, 7’Light, and a 9’ Heavy trolling rod and they are pretty good for the money. Slightly more moderate than my walleye jigging rods but that makes them better for some other fishing techniques. I fish several species so I like having a variety of rods.
@TEFFTPATTERN10 ай бұрын
I put the same Shakespeare spinning reel that I also got from Wal Mart on this thing, I feel like it's too heavy for the rod, what do you think? Also, I don't know if my model is defective, but I get a lot of unintentional bale locking on my casts. It doesn't happen all the time, but once an outing if I'm not really carefully setting up the line before my cast. I'm looking for a better spinning reel to pair with the lightning rod, something lighter and more reliable that matches the brown / black / red color scheme too
@fishingwitht-ravis961810 ай бұрын
I have the Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris Carbonlite on it and I have no bale locking issues, it might just be the reel its paired with. Definitely feels better with a light reel since it is a lighter/ thinner rod.

I bought one of these rods in 6'6" Medium after my dad gave me his 7'0" Medium Light Buzz Ramsay Edition Lighting Rod that he purchased back in 1987 and has caught thousands of fish with. I still use that rod. With my new 6'6" Medium Lightning Rod I've caught 20+ lb catfish (weighed with a scale) and I know the rod can handle more. Berkley makes a great rod for a very economical price.
