I can’t help to wonder how much faster it would cut with a 1/4 pitch chain 😎

Hello Dave. And battery is only 2Ah ?

As soon as I got my 2511 saws I changed the chain set up to 1/4 pitch. The proper pitch for that saw.You would think ECHO would know that!

Did I miss the time comparison of the three saws?

Nice video. From one older climber to the next, how do you like the 2500 by now? I'm thinking of trying one. I already have the 2511t. I had always climbed with the 200t for many years but really got spoiled with the light weight echo. How long would you say you get from a battery charge?

Thanks for watching. On the average, the battery has about 25 minutes of run-time. You definitely want a spare battery.

Thanks for the review I just got a demo saw to try. I have a modified 2511t that has a 1/4 pitch chain. The 2500t battery doesn’t last as long as the tank in the 2511t. I do not like the chain Echo put on those saws. I put a Stihl bar and chain on the 2500 before I got in the tree. I will probably buy one but an extra battery is a must. I am also in Southern Indiana just east of Evansville. Where are you?

Cool, thanks for watching. For sure, I suggest you get a spare battery. I'm in the Bloomington area.

Thanks Dave, great little video comparison. Glad you didn't waist time explaining all the different start and stop features which we're very accustomed to sorting out ourselves. But I would like to hear which of the 2 echo saws you now prefer? I have had and worn out a couple of the CS-2511tes before and I have been waiting for the new DCS-2500t to arrive which I ordered a couple of months ago, here in Adelaide, South Australia I'm hoping to get longer life and less maintenance issues out of the DCS-2500t as it doesn't have a combustion motor. I've also had Stihl ms200t and ms192t which are heavier than I like working with.

Thanks for watching. I definitely like the DCS-2500T better, it seems to cut a little faster. It's also much quieter. Stay tuned, I'll be releasing another vid soon!

Very nice video. Make sure to try that thumb rest in front of the top handle - very handy for better control in certain cuts.
