I feel this so hard. My friend was finally accepted into a "fast track"verterinary school a year ago. He has a family and a mortgage about an hour away from school so he retrofitted his van into a tiny home where he's been living alone, taking showers at gyms, yada yada. He cracked under the tremendous pressure over spring break and had a mental break down. We had to 5150 him as he had become suicidal. He had began using drugs to cope. When he was released from the hospital he said he was fine to return to school. My gut told me he wasn't ready. Mind u before all this he was a cemetery different man. Very charming, never met a person who didn't instantly love him, very social and happy at his job. So, not crazy. Well, he went back to school and about a week later the police were called to campus because he had left class, gone to the bathroom, began power huffing whippets and lost his whole mind. There were witnesses to him holding his pocket knife to his throat saying he would kill himself. The police were obviously called, campus was obviously evacuated. Now he sits in rehab, missing the rest of this semester and now has charges brought against him by the school. They are willing to drop everything as long as he never returns to campus. It's so heartbreaking. He's 37 and dreamt of becoming a vet his whole life. But the pressure of fast tracking something as intense as freaking veterinary school sent him over the edge. Changed him. We are all so devastated for him. I wish you all the luck in the world... oh, and my answers to your question are that u pass and get all A's and that obviously you maintain great mental health. Hang in there.
