The Kindle Colorsoft _was_ released alonside the base Kindle and the Paperwhite at the end of October 2024, but it went sold out almost immediately….and, probably because Amaz0n kinda rushed its release, many units shared an issue (a more or less visible yellow band on the bottom of the screen). So it’s a good thing you didn’t get the Colorsoft - when it gets restocked, the yellow banding issue will hopefully be solved. 🤩 Book extracts/samples are available for most ebooks, not just KU ones. I don’t use KU and were still able to read the sample of most of the books I have in my Kindle library.

I did order a kindle a couple weeks ago, the 2021 paper white here in Egypt but unfortunately I do not know why Amazon did not send me a Kindle Unlimited free subscription of 3 months, CAUSE i have heard that you get a free KU subscription once you get a kindle.
