Yea but it was dying the minute it was hooked. The only way to release them is by holding them upright in the water until they’re ready to swim off. Even if he released it right away the fish was never going to server. Most stripers fight until their dam near dead and have to be revived. The new size limits are killing a lot of fish.

I’ll agree that he took to long with the fish but it was going to die regardless. If you can’t hold the fish upright until it’s ready to swim off it’s going to die. Those fish fight until their dam near dead and have to be revived. When fishing off a pier or head boat the best thing you can do is try and brake them off and they still might end up dying.

@@natureneeks5911 first of all was a big fish very heavy that tried to put up a fight while he was injured from bluefish bites and lost a lot of blood,,, it was low tide fishing from the top of Keansburg pier, so it was a long way down ,, it took two guys to bring that fish up to the pier with the bridge net and two guys to bring it back down the same way it came up ,,, and that fish still swim away ,,,, concentrate on more fishing and enjoy it instead of putting down other Fishermen,,, jealousy is not a good thing, brother,,, God bless
