I'm so pissed off!!! This is such an sad indictment on the sorts of people we have in our sport. Partially cultural, partially criminal and partially just the inherent thuggish element that exists within (chelsea fans, eh?!) in soccer, this was ultimately inevitable. The crims and thugs in OUR society (they are not part of it, they just impinge on it) have to follow some sport...and it just happens to be soccer (and MMA/UFC). The standard of behaviour and respect has virtually collapsed over the past 20 years in Australia and elsewhere. Parents, education devoid of a moral element, and social media led youths are the cause. We see it in schools, shopping centres, public events. They refute the merits of education, so the only effective option is prison. That's why they exist...to isolate and punish this very criminally minded element. Lock em up. If they don't learn, lock em up for much much longer. 'nuff said.

The Victory members like me who had nothing to do with any of the trouble SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHED IN ANY WAY. It was a Melbourne City HOME match.🟦 AAMI Park hired the Security.💂💂 Victoria Police were in presence.🚔🚔 All of THOSE PEOPLE FAILED. NOT ME! Victory supporters are scumbags. Every other game here in Adelaide is fine. Happy to take the kids etc. But the whole vibe changes with a victory game. Scumbag supporters that the club isn't willing to weed out. Pathetic.

17/ 12/ 2022 Field Invasion / flares thrown onto field / players injured 🤕 This was a protest by the Melbourne victory supporters because the Australian players league ( APL ) decided to give the grand final hosting rights to Sydney for the next three years. They marketed this as a week long festival of football and with the current inflation in the economy as well as prices of accommodation, airfares etc interstate supporters will have a very difficult time being able to afford tickets and to travel to see their deserving team play in the Grand Final.

The corruption needs to be remembered. Glover didn't need to throw the second flare into the crowd. And the APL didn't need to sell out the only piece of integrity remaining in the competition. The culmination of the corruption will likely be used to deflect responsibility and justify the move to sell out the league. The Media will play their role, they will vilify fans from now, and attempt to separate the issue. But in the whole, the consequences of all the actions, were matched precisely to the cause.
