That redwood has a great unique tone. I heard Richard Hoover talk for an hour on redwood and how hard it is to find redwood that will make a good top. Evidently Bruce Potter found a good stash.

I prefer 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 and I have smaller hands. With smaller hands, I prefer a shorter scale because finger reach is difficult. I prefer 12 fret guitars, so I don't have to reach so far. Why so many guitar makers put 25 1/2 inch scales (or longer) on 12 fret guitars is a mystery. It would be nice if one could simply walk into a guitar store and find the variety of scales, nut widths and saddle spacing that one would prefer. Even custom shops have standards that limit scale lengths.

Good Day Mr Coyle ! 'tis the Silly Moustache from Southern England making contact! I too am of the 12 fret Martin style fancy, and have been sine being leant a Martin D35-S in 1996. I searched for many years in the UK and the USA until encountering a Collings DS2h in 1999, and my fate was sealed. Now all my flat top guitars are 12 fretters - and my preference is for the 1 &13/16" nut width on dreads to size "0" - and for the same reason that you mention - i.e., string buzzing - I have normal(ish) hands but flat,wide fingertips! I've done my own video about 12 fretters here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3yppopsf9eWhbM My latest acquisition in a '98 Collings 002h but had I discovered a good Martin 0028 I may well have jumped at it. BTW - For me it is PB strings, but then I'm older than you and probably even more deaf! Thanks for your informed video and delightful presentation and playing!

Again: Too quiet. Are you TRYING to lose followers?
@StevieCoyleMusicАй бұрын
As I've mentioned before, volume is a listener-side thing. Gain is a source -side thing. My gain is appropriate. Right on the edge of clipping. You can set the volume anywhere you want, depending on your device(s).

If you want to sell guitars, why have you never responded to a single one of my comments? Do you ship guitars to other states or do you only deal with in store customers?
