What if the corn hasn't emerged yet, but is on track for early next week?

In my experience, corn and soybeans that have not emerged but are in saturated/flooded conditions are in trouble. As the ground dries off, it seals over and is extremely difficult for corn or soybeans to push through. A rain 4-5 days later can actually help the seedlings emerge in this scenario.

Your video is a great reminder of the value of patience and perseverance. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow and harvest melons and oranges, but the end result is so worth it. And the fact that you're able to make a living by selling them at the market is even more impressive. Keep up the great work! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.

These are P42A84E, but I’ve seen this stem canker disease in many fields, across all companies and trait technologies.

Sds here with ilevo

SDS is creeping in for sure. Double check the base of the plant for signs of red crown rot. Visual symptoms from the edge of the field look very similar. ILeVO works well, but it’s not bulletproof. Early planting into cool soils, we should not be surprised to see SDS. And fields without ILeVO are showing significantly more SDS than our ILeVO treated fields.

@@brianbush2010 yup. Hopefully planting early outweighs the SDS yield hit

Dry spring...same issue here in Manitoba...except we also have 2nd cobs that will make it...but maybe 10% wetter at harvest. The saving grace will be a first frost be a kill frost...makes shutdown more even across the field.

Alot of missed sunlight hitting the ground with short corn. Id be worried about weed control too. Might work better in 20 inch or even 15. But then u can't really side dress it
