This is an epic love triangle. I am so glad that they end up together. For me, Empress Ki's ascension to the throne was the secondary theme. Ultimately, Love is the main theme. Overcoming everything no matter what.

最初から最後までの熱演、実に素晴らしい俳優ですね、大者俳優が出ましたねーチ、チャンウクさん、物語としての皇帝としては、色んな要素を演じられた、もう10年が来ようとしているが、TVでも此の場所でも、毎日魅せられて居る、ハ、ジオンさんも男役から皇后迄、大熱演流石ですね。見込みのする壮大なドラマです。

Unfortunately ....this love story is not beautiful at all because empress ki does not love him or a little... and this love made the emperor sick because ki was contemptuos with him Just at the end she falls in love but it was too late.... I hate what she mades him

yes, she'd a child with Wang Yoo first, but the child dies. Then she becomes a concubine and has a son with the emperor (Ta hwang). The man she finally loved was the emperor. Their love story is so heartbreaking

@@naomihuerta976 Why everybody don t understand that empress ki does not loves the emperor ?? She manipulet him and help him also. She always loves wang yoo . Yes she helps the emperor very much and she was honest and gratful until the end with him, but she was inddiferent at his love, that it why emperor drink too much and was sick before eunuque gives him poison... She fells pity for him . At the end she falls in love really with him yes, because he became a man and a great emperor .. but..... late... When emperor kills wang yoo, if Tal Tal had not explained her why he kills wang, empress ki will surely revenge him U don t think ?? It s what i thinking when i watch serie 2twice and made me sad I hate the end
