I'm Scottish ,a military historian too. On the esplanade leading into Edinburgh castle is his sarcophagus ,not sergeant Ewart, ENSIGN Ewart, and just inside are the implements he got that promotion from nco to officers mess with. His sword, the heavy 1796 pattern(if you have watched the Sharpe series you will know it,big, straight and heavy, plus he was a combat veteran and the regiments swordmaster)is there, the sword he did it with, and below it is the standard of the 101st French infantry regiment along with its eagle that he took single handed at Waterloo. Charging into battle crying Scotland forever.

My grandpa was in the US horse calvary. He was one of those who chased Pancho Villa all over mexico. Surprisingly, his account was a lot more violent than the official history. I guess they wanted to white wash the invasion and shooting up of a friendly country and not catching the guy they were after.

I've done reenactments and movies and documentaries. There AIN'T NOTHING like a horse charge. When your knees are slamming into a guy on each side of you and you're doing 35 mph. I did the cavalry charge into the Cheyenne village at Sand Creek in "into the west" I did a charge for a documentary of Bloody Bills massacre of union soldiers at Centralia MO. Also in Bill Curtis's documentary on the battle of Mine Creek, the largest cavalry charge on the North American continent. Another was Quantrils charge into and out of Lawrence in the movie Ride with the Devil. I used to ride bulls but those cavalry charges got my adrenaline pumping to.

I think the world would heal a lot if we had more kindred with our horses then with our cars. It just feels more right. We rode horses for millenias, from the Baikal all the way to the appalachians, horse kinship is probably the most shared human experience. But in this cursed quest for efficiency we dropped our friend the horse for souless lumps of steel

I thoroughly enjoyed Corb concert last night. I’m just going back over videos. Amazing. In this one, I just wondered where all that footage came from. Back in the day, the amount of real action horse riding for movies, including making it look like the person was killed, or the horse falls. Dangerous

I just feel obligated to say that while the story of Polish cavalry is a poignant one of valor in the face of insurmountable odds, it's also Nazi propaganda meant to make the Poles out as inferior and dim witted. There are cases of Polish cavalry engaging German infantry before being driven off by panzers, but that's nothing like what most people probably imagine, with saber wielding soldiers on horseback galloping head on towards an armored vehicle.

Playing the part of a freeman before the crowd is an actor in a play of freedom that has no truth or reality merely an applause from fools and want to be freemen. So if I post on your place maybe I felt a real freeman here somewhere you do not get to dictate or own my freedom under this constitution I live by in this nation that I call my home. Spend your life satisfying the clones of freedom and see if they want give you up to protect the lie just, ask the Ukrainians as they are the ones dying not you in your news caps from far away see, fake freeman if in your heart you truly believe you are free then, you will fight to defend it from all comers you should have let me be when, I first asked you to do so as freedom is a will of God, throughout the entire universe.

Us not ourselves promotes the machine we dance like monkeys to they’re extremes a systemic limerick the joke of Woke we’ll fix the things that are not broke. I wrote this when, Dave said unit clone and a light kicked on in my head, thanks Dave.
