@@nfl.GURU. the Br600 was free, and Shindaiwa was $250. Got both at a toro/echo sales and service shop. I’m friends with the owners they give me access to the scrap pile they have. The BR340 I got for free from an elderly coupe that bought it brand new in 2003. And the Echo PB-770H was only $80. Cheap Facebook marketplace find. Was listed as a parts or repair unit. Thought it was a bad locked up engine. Turns out the impeller fan just was loose and needed to be tightened. She’s mint!

@@Thelawnmower278 no way! I didn’t know that. The Stihl HP Ultra I believe is green, but the normal high performance stihl oil that’s in the orange bottles must be the blue one. I know i didn’t use that oil. The only one I can think of is the SuperTech Walmart brand oil. It was the synthetic 2stroke blend i believe. But after using it that one time I just decided not to use it anymore. I just didn’t want to be that cheap with my 2 strokes.

@ yes you are completely right. Stihl ultra is green and just as something to add too about cheap 2 stroke oil is that i had an echo pb 580h it was my favorite and first ever backpack blower. I recently decided that the problem that it had was not worth replacing/fixing it was stripped spark plug threads. So i wanted to sell it for parts so i opened up the piston and cylinder only to see that it was terribly scored with marks everywhere. I was trying to think of what i did to the machine over its use of just 2 years, what 2 of the problems were was i almost never let it warm up before I ran it at full throttle, second i almost always used cheap 2 stroke oil, harbor freight predator oil, 7-11 gas station oil, and ace hardware 2 stroke oil. The problem with these oils is that they are very thin and light so i noticed the mix still looked like straight gas when i mixed it at 50:1. So i resulted running at roughly 20:1 which dampened the color darker so i knew there was enough oil, but because of so much oil it pretty much overheated the engine every time i ran it, cheap 2 stroke oil is some of the worst because whether you mix at a normal ratio it will not provide the right lubrication, even if you mix it heavy, there will be enough lubrication, but it will overheat which will make the piston scored. Cheap oil is bad for engines either way, thank you for replying to my comments you are one the only channels that always replies to my comments other then the channel “home garage” which is how i came across your channel i think. 🙂

The oil that i used that had the blue gas was the regular stihl oil with the bottle, it is one of my favorites other than echo red armor. 😊

The old classic grey echos! Truly the very best from echo! That 225 is a great machine to. But nothing can’t top the classic ones!

Primer bulb was the 770. Did nothing to 400, sold it working well.

@ try the br800c with the side start it’s way better then the x model cause u don’t have w to take it off your bake ever to start it and talk to people when u have to restart it
