One thing I liked about the 911 is the map display on the gauge cluster..easier to see corners ahead of time
@RayRevs10 күн бұрын
@@prmcollin you could do that with the digital display on the right with the 718s as well, I just had the TPMS info there. If I was the lead car, I’d be running maps for sure.

Yeah they are. Gotta say I had a 981s (PDK) and the PDK is a fantastic gearbox but the manual with the 4.0l is another level. Enjoy yours mate.

I'm joining you guys. Had a 981 base w. Sport chrono, x73 and 6spd. I loved it, but traded in for a 992.1 c4s cab. While it was much faster, the car is a boat...huge comparably speaking. The pdk is fast but I wanted a manual, so yesterday it shipped off so my new car could come back. 2020 spyder 6spd. Cannot wait. All year car down in south Florida. Oh, and the wife got her order in for a 25 base 718 boxster w pdk. 😂 almost went the gts route and ordered one myself it looked so nice. 😂 🤙🏼

I've never heard of a track that allows you to drive with the top down. I'll have to check this out!! I'll never forget, right when I bought my Cabriolet, a guy who owned a GT2 RS came up to me and said "hey, I had the exact same car. Promise me you'll never go on track. They make you drive with your windows down and your top up and it completely destroyed my top. Cost me $6000." As I got to know the guy, I found out he's a track instructor. So I trust him. Pretty cool they let you drive with the top down!

First time on track, still figuring out my limits
@BAC_Mono25 күн бұрын
@@RayRevs Nice video, it's definitely better to build up gradually. I jumped in at the deep end with BAC Mono as my 1st track car 3 years ago, and looking back at my early videos (they're on my channel), they look hilariously cautious compared to how I drive now, but I'm sure I benefitted from taking time to learn the art of track driving (still got a lot to learn mind you!). Road Atlanta looks brilliant, I've driven it a lot on iRacing, but those elevations must be incredible in real life, the closest we've got in the UK is Brands Hatch - Paddock Hill Bend. IIRC you have to open the side windows on track in the USA? In the UK it's the opposite, we have to close them. And long trousers only, no shorts! Go figure? That 4.0 Boxster looks great, I recently sold my much loved 997 C2S manual and a Boxster is next on my list, but I'm debating between once of these and a (admittedly slower) 981 S Enjoy, and please keep uploading!

@ appreciate the supportive comments! For sure, once the track days open up for spring I’ll have more track footage to upload.
