NO ONE needs to know this but I just took the mcat two weeks ago, Jan 25, and it was obviously high stress and even more so because I was scoring lower than preferred. Long story short I was having major eye problems. Symptoms similar to astigmatism and then cataracts and eventually when I would see strobing lights my eyes would literally flash and everything would go grey and dim and slowing bleed back into normal vision and color. WHY am I writing this on this video you ask? I am pre med... I dont have a lot of friends.. lol. Anyways the IDF new scene change logo flashes kept making my eyes go crazy and I literally thought i was going blind hahaha The night before my dr's appointment I FINALLY realized my iphone setting for "dim flashing lights" was on and the stress of my mcat and all of the "symptoms" I was experiencing was just a frakkin coincidence lolol. Dont stress like me. Buy IFD high yield guide especially if you are poor. I qualify for the fee assistance program and am technically from a low SES background so I know what its like to try to do everything the free way but i promise you a loan for a couple thousand will be worth it over all the stress of trying to do something alone the hard way. IFD has my stamp of approval. -Just another pre med. Stand together or fall alone... or something like that idk. now go study. and make sure to keep a social life!

How long do people usually take when approaching passages untimed? I go through passages untimed and then 15-20 minutes pass and I still don’t understand the passage or main idea entirely. I feel like I’m wasting so much time and go to the questions after wasting about 18 minutes on the passage then spend about 2-2.5 minutes on the questions then get about 40-50% right. So in total, I spend about 25 minutes on a passage just to barely get like half of them right and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve been doing MCAT prep since June last year and my CARs score hasn’t improved at all. It really destroys my self-esteem and makes me lose motivation and affects my mental health horribly. It brings down my ability to study the other sections
