Duke: You impertinent scallywags! Narrator (George Carlin): Duke would say. Duke: Whatever are you engines coming to? Stewart and Falcon: Never mind, Grandpuff. We're only young once. Duke: Well, you better mind, unless you wanna end up like Smudger. Stewart and Falcon: Ooh! Grandpuff, Whatever happened? Duke: Smudger... Narrator (George Carlin): Said Duke. Duke: ...was a showoff. He rode roughly, and often came off the rails. I warned him to be careful, but he took no notice. Smudger: Listen, Dukie! Narrator (George Carlin): He Snarled. Smudger: Who worries about a few spills? Duke: We do here. I said, but Smudger just laughed. Smudger: (Reckless Laughter) Duke: Until one day, Manager said he was going to make him useful at last. Smudger stopped laughing then. Stewart and Falcon: Why? What did he do? Duke: He turned him into a Generator. He's still out there behind our shed. He'll never move again.

Awesome! Same engine as my Sabrina, except side tank instead of saddle. I think these engines can use one number down sized gas jet. At just the teeniest bit of gas cracked open it always rides the safety valve. I noted the problem but another KZbinr suggested a smaller gas jet to me. I have yet to order one to try it. Another thing is fuel burn increases once everything is heated up due to proximity to the boiler. Which leads me to… My only real complaint about these engines out of the box is the non-knurled slippery gas valve knob. I LOVE my Sabrina. I DESPISED that slippery knob. For a well made/thought through engine that knob was a bizarre choice. One needs to adjust a long way down after boiler pressure is up and after a while the engine speeds because the gas tank heats up and so more fine adjustment is needed. After fumbling with that knob a few times I did this simple mod - starts at 2:01 or so. In the end I kept this “temporary” fix because it works so well for me: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6Gpap6ne9qUj80 Cheers!

We do a replacement gas valve for them which is much finer and allows you to turn the gas right down

Hi Simon, would you recommend the M7? I am considering buying one
@simonstrains23553 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan Yes I would recommend one I have run mine now for just over 2 hours and it’s fantastic,no burner noise, makes steam Like it’s going out of fashion and runs really smoothly with a nice chuff , controls can fiddly but a little playing around and I run with all the covers on Ran low on water quite quickly but a sticky safety valve and fresh from the box it was hardly surprising. On the last run with a fairly heavey train we were getting 10mins between top ups and I expect this to improve. Hope this helps Cheers Simon

Hi, just an interest, how long does the engine steam up for and how long does it run for? I am looking to buy one of these and would like to know if it’s suitable for the service on my line. Best regards :)
@simonstrains23553 жыл бұрын
Loco runs for approximately 35 mins and is radio controlled and a powerful engine for this scale it is also fitted with water top up so you can run for as long as you like if you wish this one will appear for sale shortly on our Anything Narrow Gauge Website
