Hi Thimble....he is ok just wearing a life vest until he can have surgery. He has to have a defibrillator cause his heart is at 25% now. He couldn't breathe, so I took him to ER. He had a heart attack 18 years ago triple bypass, and it destroyed his heart to 40%, but he is ok. I hadn't been playing E. Ring, but I did finish the game and started the DLC. It seemed to be hard.

@deadthimble5014 Thanks, Thimble...I hope he improves too because with him sick I lost my help and I am having to do my work along with his.. I don't have much spare time no more. I be so tired cuz we have some many animals and a big yard. Plus it's so hot this summer here....Take care my friend and I will pop in when I can...😊👍

Wow, Dead Thimble! I'm so behind on watching. Hope you have been doing well. Got my tooth pulled. Two hours in His chair because he had to get the root out. Then my husband got sick with his heart again, so its been hectic for me cause I lost my helper with all the work.

The importance of the Coalition and why they're so interested in Harry once he mentions the 2mm hole is tied into concepts that don't appear in the game, but DO appear in the Sacred and Terrible Air short story that the setting is based on. Basically, Harry is very likely something called a "Magpie", someone who is connected to the Pale somehow, who receives information from the "past" and "future" that the pale is made up of. This explains Inland Empire, Shivers, Esprit de Corp and all the other skills that seemingly feed Harry information he SHOULDN'T know. Gary the Cryptofascist actually tells you something that seems absurd, about how the Semenese are sending information back to their past selves to get ahead of the rest of the world technologically, and it's highly likely he's RIGHT. This is an actual thing in this universe. They use magpies like harry to read this information from the future or past, and when it causes innovation that shouldn't happen the pale expands a little bit. Innocenses are also Magpies. The man who assasinated Dolores Dei said "We were supposed to come up with this on our own!" when he killed her. He KNEW that she was pulling information from the Pale that humanity hadn't earned yet. The Coalition attempts to fight this by their motto of slow steady progress. They try to control advancement, ensuring that the Occident and anyone under their control advances at the rate they're supposed to, and that any information that does make it backwards is part of a closed loop to prevent more Pale from being generated. This is why they want Harry. He's a conduit to the Pale, and he needs to be controlled. Crazy universe. It's a damn shame we'll likely never see any more of it.

this is weird since i've done multiple play throughs back in 2020 and i don't think they were in the game? i don't even think you could find this when the game was first released, i assume this is only in the final cut version?

@@NeostormXLMAX it's a combination of info from the game and Kurvitz's book "A Sacred and Terrible Air" (which has been translated to english, go read it!). Kurvitz's book is set in the exact same universe, years after the events of DE and explains info like what a Magpie is, and more of the nature of the Pale, as well as how the pale transmits information out of time and how it effects the world. The Final Cut adds "vision quests" related to each political ideology, and the vision quest for the Moralist Ideology is HEAVILY related to the 2mm hole, the nature of the pale, and exactly how much the Coalition knows about them.

This game is deep and very very very well written. I only got this ending 1 time out of 3... Funny thing is on my 3rd finishing the game i actually maxed my stats to see what am i missing and still did not get this ending... Being perfect does not automaticly make the game open all doors to you in this game... Such a great game & there is no other game where failing is actually rewarded...

Im curious what you think about this ending. You seem to have put a lot of thought into this-looking at your replies to other commenters. My question is: is this a bad ending? /is this *THE* bad ending?

in the way i interpret it, yes, it is the bad ending. I´m inclined to think things didn´t turn out well for Harry, the other endings (except for those where he diesfrom a heart attack, electrocuted etc...), seem more positive, even if Harry does really badly in the case and with Kitsuragi, he´s still a living human being trying to do his thing to the best of his ablities...As a player i also don´t think is very satisfying, it excludes you from the case and the relations you are invested, I couldn´t help but reload and move from this, because i wanted to know about the murder, and wanted to know more about Harry, Kim and Martinaise. In general i feel this ending is a bit punishing, both to harry and the player... but i honestly feel this ending is just another thing that sets this game apart, it´s awesome,, thought provoking, beautiful (in a way)...love it...
