The Great Grey Owl (Ailurornis nebulosus) is a large true owl native to both North America and Eurasia, it is one of the largest owls alive today and the only extant species in the genus Ailurornis, it has two recognized subspecies: the Eurasian Great Grey Owl (Ailurornis nebulosus lapponicus) and the American Great Grey Owl (Ailurornis nebulosus nebulosus).

@@albertaforests4991 i saw them once or twice in British Columbia when i was tree planting back in 2012, i was impressed with how big they were , i wanted to eat one , because there would be so much meat on the delicious thing,

Cool vid. I’m not gonna lie though; when I first saw the title I thought it meant the owl was being hunted (ie shot). I’m glad it wasn’t that.
